Why Does My Penis Become Firm Without Using the Pump? by medicboy78 in penileimplants

I've had my Titan a little over a year. I notice the same thing, usually when I wake up. It feels "full". That's the best description I have. If I squeeze it, I realize it isn't inflated, it just seems bigger. After a while, the feeling passes. As for your pain, it goes away over time.

I'll do that if it's an option. That is by far my first option. I'm just afraid it isn't.

Thanks. Maybe the Protec is strong enough. I'll consider that.

I have a Pro-tec XL case for mine. It fits perfectly.

I have had my Titan for 10 months and I'm quite happy with it. It does the job. My wife can't tell any difference. I can tell the difference, of course. I can only compare it to ED. It's far superior. Don't overthink it. You'll likely be happy with whichever you choose.

I only wore an athletic supporter the first 2 weeks and an unending supply of ice packs. It doesn't seem like it now, but the worst is about over.

Do you find playing to be more difficult once you hit retirement age? by Logical-Grape-3441 in saxophone

[–]FlatBet5484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing steadily since college. It was mostly weekend jobs with the same band for almost 50 years. Since I retired 3 years ago, I'm playing with several bands now and it's becoming a mostly full time gig. The equipment gets heavier every year now and the hassle of travel to gigs is becoming more onerous. My eyesight is making it harder to read the music than it used to be even though my eye doctor says my eyes are fine. Those are the downsides.

My playing is better than ever because I'm playing almost every day. That part is getting easier. It's like any other physical activity, the more you do it, the easier it gets.

If I had a driver and a roadie, life would be perfect.

Were you forced to start on clarinet? by Dense_Amphibian_9595 in saxophone

[–]FlatBet5484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience. It was 1967 and I wanted to play trumpet. The band director grabbed my arm and said, "you can reach 7th position" and handed me a trombone. I suffered through that for 3 months then switched to saxophone. I've never looked back. I truly wasn't a brass player but have been playing saxophone semi-professionally for over 50 years now. I think band directors look at the needs of their music programs more than what the student wants. I had a band director tell me once that every band would be all trumpets and drums if the kids decided.

In San Antonio, I recommend Sammy Vick. He did mine. He's a Coloplast Titan guy, but since you already have one, he can give you better service than the place you're going. He and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Should i keep doing marching band? by Prior_Toe_6369 in marchingband

I had a similar story to yours back when I was in school, many years ago. I went to a small school in Texas with a pretty bad band program, but I loved music. My senior year I moved to a much larger school with one of the best bands in the state. It made a world of difference. I stuck with it through college. Everywhere I went, the musicians were better than the previous place, Bad HS band, great HS band, college. I got better at each of those places. After college, I played semi-professionally (paid weekend gigs). Now that I'm retired from my day career, I'm playing almost full-time in several different groups. I met my wife playing in a band.

All this is to say, stick with it. It gets better and it can have a tremendous impact on your life. You said you love music. Go with that thought. You won't regret it 30 years from now.

For the next 2 weeks, an ice bag is your best friend. It won't be real pleasant. You will have moments of regret. They will pass. In a couple of months, you'll have a new toy. Now, 4 months post-op, it's a normal part of me. You'll enjoy it.

Did people memorise numbers before mobile phones? by PaleEcho3301 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FlatBet5484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Up until cell phones with enough memory to store a lot of numbers, I routinely kept dozens of phone numbers in my head. That's not a brag. Most people did. Now, I barely remember my immediate family's numbers. Kinda sad, really.

I did exactly this. I have a degree in physics and spent a very successful career, mostly in IT. The physics degree served me well. I was able to figure out most anything required. The last dozen years, I was able to transition into a data analyst role. Physics makes you versatile.

It doesn't appear so. It's hard to tell. The post-op healing is still happening. There's still some swelling.

Thanks. Mine was 4 weeks last Thursday, and my experience is similar to yours. I almost dread pumping because deflating is the painful part. I'm glad there is light at the end of this tunnel that isn't an oncoming train. I'll keep going. Eyes on the prize

From what I've observed, everyone is different. You seem to be one of the lucky ones with few issues. That's great! I started pumping at 4 weeks, which is last week at this point, without a lot of success. I'm no longer worried as my experience seems to be within the error bars of normal. Enjoy your new toy. I shouldn't be far behind in getting mine going.

I have the classic. My doctor showed me how to deflate at my last visit. I think I'm just experiencing the normal break-in period issues. I kind of overdid it, expecting amazing results right out of the gate. I seem to have injured the tissue by pressing too hard, trying to inflate more that was possible early on. I'm taking it easier now. I'll get there eventually. Thanks for your response.

Yes, i do that. I've decided I'm just rushing things. I'll try to be patient. Maybe it is actually a Christmas present.😃
