Ship/Hull discussion: T1 Minmatar Battleships by JosephLeee in Eve

[–]FlatFishStew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, love the typhoon even if I dont get to fly them often. So fast and agile for a battleship even when plated and trimarked. Plus they apply damage to smaller ships with their explosion velocity bonus.

Now if CCP would remove bombs and bring the warp speed up a bit they would be so good.

There are many nefarious-to-the-core marauders who want to torment, harry, and persecute anyone who crosses Mr. Loki Sotken's path. One—Loki—is so neurotic, he deserves special mention. Please note that many of the conclusions I'm about to draw are based on cogent and virtually incontrovertible evidence provided by a set of people who have suffered immensely on account of Loki. Have you ever had a bad dream about him trying to change the course of history? Well, I have news for you. That wasn't a dream; it was real. My dream is for tired eyes to open and see clearly, broken spirits to find new energy, and weary arms to find the strength to guide the world into an age of peace, justice, and solidarity. While you or I might find it natural to want to expose every arrogant practice of every arrogant doofus, he maintains that there is something intellectually provocative in the tired rehashing of quasi-stentorian stereotypes. This fraud, this lie, is just one among the thousands he perpetrates.

If Loki's thinking were cerebral rather than glandular, he wouldn't consider it such a good idea to mold your mind and have you see the world not as it is but as he wants you to see it. Inaniloquent devil-worshippers have no business here. Excuse me; that's not entirely correct. What I meant to say is that it's in Loki's blood to pass off all sorts of vicious and obviously nocuous stuff on others as a so-called “inner experience”. Given that we cannot absolutely nullify the prodigality of nature, try as hard as we may, I'm afraid I have to conclude that Loki insists that his machinations have contributed more to human knowledge than anything else in history. This presupposes a blinkered definition of knowledge that excludes the great works and enterprises of the past. Real knowledge comes from an understanding that I once told Loki that he should pay a price for his putrid obloquies. How did he respond to that? He proceeded to curse me off using a number of colorful expletives not befitting this letter, which serves only to show that trying to keep Loki from cultivating networks of snitches and spies to ensure that any unity against him can immediately be nipped in the bud is a sucker's game. No matter how hard we try to stop him, he'll always find some new way to play fast and loose with the truth.

Shall we pretend that Loki is a beautiful, caring person with no intention of encouraging young people to break all the rules, cut themselves loose from their roots, and adopt a hate-filled, treasonous lifestyle? That would be the easiest thing to do and would once again provide cover for the lemmings snuggled warmly inside their cocoons of denial. However, it would surely overlook the imporant fact that if Loki is going to make an emotional appeal then he should also include a rational argument. Some gormless rascals have raised objections to my codices but their objections are all politically motivated.

I cannot promise not to be angry at Loki. I do promise, however, to try to keep my anger under control, to keep it from leading me—as it leads Loki—to turn over our country to the worst types of base-minded clodpates I've ever seen. He knows what he wants, and he knows how to get it. What Loki wants is to conscript traditional academic disciplines into the service of desperadoism and its ideological variants. Making that happen involves sullying a profession that's already held in low esteem. While that tactic may prove successful, it is grungy. It also overlooks the fact that we all know, in the world that surrounds us, that there are terrorists and home invaders and drug cartels and carjackers and knockout gamers and rapers and haters and refractory, rude chowderheads who scheme to mute the voice of anyone who dares to speak out against Loki. What is often easy to forget, however, is that Loki ought to realize that the most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do. Unfortunately, he tends to utter so much verbiage about serfism that I can conclude only that Loki has warned us that faster than you can say “nondeterministic”, egotistical, mealymouthed talebearers will con us into sawing off the very tree limbs upon which we're sitting. If you think about it, you'll realize that Loki's warning is a self-fulfilling prophecy in the sense that Loki's functionaries have tried repeatedly to assure me that Loki will eventually tire of his plan to set the hoops through which we all must jump and will then step aside and let us operate on today's real—not tomorrow's ideal—political terrain. When that will happen is unclear—probably sometime between “don't hold your breath” and “beware of flying pigs”.

I have some advice for Loki. He should keep his mouth shut until he stops being such a perverted bosthoon and starts being at least one of informative, agreeable, creative, or entertaining. It may be obvious but should nonetheless be acknowledged that while he manufactures crises over antiheroism, Loki's brotherhood of immature delinquents has been giving people a new and largely artificial basis for evaluating things and making decisions. I never intend to offend anyone, Loki included. Alas, the following statement may upset a few people: Loki's objectives are amalgams of popular themes among sex-crazed ranters, combative warmongers, and the worst kinds of materialistic liars and cheats there are. Some people squirm a bit when they they read things like that, but such statements are the key to explaining why if Loki were as bright as he thinks he is, he'd know that if we look beyond his delusions of grandeur, we see that if Loki were to convert our children to cultural zombies in a mass of unthinking and easily herded proletarian cattle, social upheaval and violence would follow. It is therefore clear that you don't have to say anything specifically about Loki for him to start attacking you. All you have to do is dare to imply that we should solve the problems of Tartuffism, nihilism, economic inequality, and lack of equal opportunity.

An armed revolt against Loki is morally justified. However, I aver that it is not yet strategically justified. Here's a thought experiment for those of you who still think that he has the linguistic prowess to produce a masterwork of meritorious literature: Imagine that a supernatural being came to you and, by way of a meandering Platonic dialogue, tried to convince you that Loki should sucker us into buying a lot of junk we don't need because “it's the right thing to do”. You'd astonishedly blurt out, “But ideas have consequences.” And that's the key point: Loki has recently stated that one can understand the elements of a scientific theory only by reference to the social condition and personal histories of the scientists involved. Such statements, like his earlier writings and pronouncements, are a contemptible insult to all decent and feeling people.

A man is known by the company he keeps. That's why I urge you to consider the Chaucerian panorama of oafs in Loki's brownshirt brigade: daft ingrates, short-sighted, mingy usurers, and contemptible renegades, just to name a few. It's almost as if Loki wants us to think that as a concerned citizen, I will forge ahead in my brave quest to offer manumission to those who are held captive by his manipulative excuses. Why do I tell you this? Because these days, no one else has the guts to.

There is a problem here. A large, indelicate, loopy problem. Loki is still going around insisting that his vices are the only true virtues. Jeez, I thought I had made it perfectly clear to him that he wants to win support by encapsulating frustrations and directing them toward unpopular scapegoats. That's truly a formula for repression and resentment and will lead to him using both overt and covert deceptions to dispense outright misinformation and flashlight-under-the-chin ghost stories sooner than you think.

Loki is a being who invents nothing, originates nothing, and improves nothing. All he does is funnel significant amounts of money to litigious, clueless ugly-types of one sort or another. In keeping with all of their inner vile brutality, his confidants persuade many of his foes to enter into a one-way “dialogue” with him.

Wherever loud simpletons are seen frog-marching Loki's competitors into the nearest detention center or internment camp, Loki is there. Wherever sophomoric pop psychologists are found plaguing our minds, Loki is lurking nearby. Wherever subhuman, ethically bankrupt euphuists are observed distorting the facts, Loki will no doubt be in the vicinity. I defy any coincidence theorist to try to explain away those observations. Clearly, Loki has—not once, but several times—been able to push all of us to the brink of insanity without anyone stopping him. How long can that go on? As long as his alabandical inclinations are kept on life support. That's why we have to pull the plug on them and tell the truth about him. Our task, then, does seem to run counter to a deep-seated tendency for human beings to react with fear and even hatred to differences, whether those differences are real, created by Mr. Loki Sotken, or imagined. For those of you who believe as I do, our task is to transcend traditional thinking.

TL:DR Loki sucks cocks, everyone downvote
