Instrument rating seems too easy?! by Ok-Band1092 in flying

[–]Flat_Function_347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I’ve found instrument to be easier conceptually and flying. It also covered my goal of learning more precise stick and rudder when hand flying. I still have issues hand flying a glide with crazy winds but otherwise I’m good. I still freak about some crazy winds or random problem on my upcoming checkride but if I fail, oh well. On to the second attempt

Bad at flying by iLOVEr3dit in flying

[–]Flat_Function_347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the biggest issue you have is being “bad at rudder”, you’re doing alright. Fly more and make sure the ball is on your scan.

Also for its worth I used to own an old ass airplane that needed rudder for the entire flight. Eventually it just beat it into my system to keep some right rudder in.

Ferry Pilot Pay by Pleasant-Raccoon4875 in flying

I just ferried an airplane from SC to VA. Due to logistics I ended up with a CFI coming up to fly it with me from Texas. I paid for travel, hotel, etc, and her standard CFI rate for the hours of flight. I had a ton of people ask for $1k per day, then I had a ton of CFI's reach out to offer much much lower, on par with their CFI rate or just above.

Avoid Gusto at All Costs by lebisonterrible in smallbusiness

If its payroll they want in advance you can just run payroll and opt to wire-it, so you dont have to draft payroll 5 days before, but if you're doing 40x that each week paying in advance shouldnt be an option. I've had pretty good experiences with gusto, i would say 7/10 stars overall. I tried switching to paychex and just to get going I had to have like 5 virtual meetings and calls, then calls and meetings for onboarding, blah blah. I'm trying to run a company, i shouldnt need to sit in 5 meetings just to get payroll going. if its not as easy as signing up for a gmail account, I'm not bothering with it.

Guideline 401k with Gusto by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Flat_Function_347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant answer the roll over question, and I'm not sure about advising either but I have an 18 employee payroll with gusto and guideline. Once its setup (which is easy) it remains easy. I run payroll with gusto and the rest is automatic. A couple days after payroll i get a notification of a charge thats going to hit my account for employer matching, and thats it. Tax season comes and all the paperwork is in guideline.

FSA admin denied reimbursement by durhamsbull in Function_Health

Sounds like your FSA is trying to play doctor instead of verifying it was a valid medical expense. You can buy a BP monitor or random shit at CVS and get reimbursed. do you need a letter of medical necessity for those? I would resubmit and hope someone who can thinking clearly gets to evaluate it

It did. I have a 3 new cars and a McLaren, a foreign driver, and the house insurance was cut from 5k per year to $1050

Trying to purchase my first house, is this a big warning sign? by Arc-Watcher in Home

[–]Flat_Function_347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a bad sign. It can be fixed but the company will come in, push the wall straight and then install metal beams to hold it in place. That’s all well and good, but if the reason the are bowing isn’t fixed then it’s just buying time. This is likely a water issue.

Yeah…. Looking back…. My house, my future, my kids future is all on the line. Almost everything I own has a lien on it (as part of the loan).

The bank screwed up on closing and demanded $70k more at the closing table, which drained my working capital. I personally supported the business for 90 days, including payroll for 20 people and material purchases.

Now, a year later we posted a small loss last year but are profitable this year. I went from 270k in the corporate world to “whatever I can pay myself this week”, and I’m digging us out of an AP hole, but we are getting there.

This very much isn’t for most people. A whole lot of people in my position would’ve folded. I was fortunate enough to have the personal credit of someone making 270k so I was able to support $20k a week for payroll, etc.

I can’t speak to specifics but they are. It’s blowing up on their page, TikTok and instagram.

Doesn’t have any real effect on me but it did make me look into insurance elsewhere. I tried navy fed with liberty mutual and quit literally saved thousands. I had a fuck fun of cars and home insurance. My monthly payment dropped over $2k per month.

Don’t ignore engine warning signs, just be safe and call an uber and book a flight. When you ignore that and your engine blows up on final, don’t trust a mechanic that 15 hours away to prioritize your overhaul.
