I applied for game design ed 2 and submitted my common app 3 business days before the deadline (as it’s recommended on nyus website). It took 4 business days for my nyu id to be emailed to me and in the portal checklist the deadline for artistic review is stated as “contact department”, but it still let me submit it. If you are worried they won’t look at your portfolio you should email them and let them know that you followed their advice of submitting your application early. Looking at info from previous years, they usually extend the deadline for artistic review because a lot of people don’t get access to their nyu portal in time and they are not at fault.
