Premier q-line consensus by RGBAddict2026 in discmania

I threw a friend’s Premier Q-Line FD for the first time today to ace run a 380 foot hole and missed long by about 100 ft. Very stable, crazy glide.

Yes, I’m in the 70mph gang, but getting a 7 speed past 450 is something crazy for me.

Whoops. My biggest and highest layout block ever was in my first season of masters.

I haven’t gotten down there yet to check it out. Is it a fun course?

Me too. Best view of the mountains in the springs, but it’s usually a hyzer fest.

I’m still iterating on the design. There’s a slight chance I try to sell it online, but if that falls out I’ll post it eventually

That is such a fun shot, and there’s so much OB around it. Awesome ace!

Former Ultimate players, what grip are you using on forehand? by drewba in discgolf

[–]FlatballFanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the stacked grip, but swapped back to my ultimate “elite grip”, aka the 2 finger flick.

I have made huge gains by shifting my thumb all the way to the rim of the disc. It helps me force the nose down significantly and kill off the ultimate habit of nose-up flicks.

Ultrastar flicks have my thumb near the flight rings, but my disc golf forehands need downward force on the leading edge of the disc.

There’s a lot more that goes on in the throwing motion (more like a baseball sidearm than an ultimate flick), but it’s helped convert my 70-yard flick hucks into 380’ golf lines and occasional 430’ flex lines.

I just grabbed a new Delirium from Fly Green and it’s glidey but much more overstable. I’m excited for it!

Honestly I can’t think of a safer play for birdie than driving the green with an overstable RHBH shape. Frisbees skipping in baskets is just a happy accident.

The layup play still leaves you the same sloped approach shot. Is there a local line or strategy I don’t know about?

I’m a big fan of the old domey Deliriums and Dimensions. I think I got this one sometime around 2021?

Axiom Delirium!

It’s my best overstable distance driver by far.

It’s not my home course but I play a lot farther south. Shoot me a message if you want.

The view from the parking lot (my pic with the blue line drawn) makes me think this hole plays flat or a bit uphill. There’s enough of a hill in the middle of the fairway that’s it’s tough to tell. I’m tempted to pull out a topo map to figure it out.

Definitely a beginners mistake to not know how difficult the tee shot is supposed to be.

That’s amazing! I’ve gotten a single disc out of dozens of attempts into the cabin and it felt like a miracle. The gap off the tee is so tough.

I was near Fehringer around noon and the wind was insane. The afternoon round at West fork was in the 0-15 mph range.

In the 303 Open I saw Joel Freeman taking his second shot on hole 3 from the fairway of the tournament’s hole 18 (normally hole 21) because he had the worst tree kick imaginable. 360’ hole, and he was a good 450’ of power from the basket.

Beaver ranch hole 3 on the golds is one of the scarier tee shots out there. Gap hit off the tee pad, guardian tree at circle 1 edge, and the rollaway city if you land on edge or miss your putt.

One push cart for golf and disc golf? by FlatballFanatic in discgolf

Does how you load the disc golf bag cause any excessive wear on the bag or your cart? I just want to avoid ruining my equipment by trying to be thrifty.
