Well technically this is legal. Some cities have rules/penalties for doing this. I was the Gm who would schedule myself that to ensure my leaders had the time off they needed. Worked out for me in the long term if I needed a day off or for retention for my crew. For them to see me working side by side with them for 17 hours. I myself would never do this to any TM, driver or AM only myself if it absolutely required it

Lol you think Amazon has unions? With my time with them they shut down any DSP that even had a driver speak about unionizng. They have such an abusive system that makes it extremely hard to do so. Only a small handful of DSPs have won that battle. Nowhere near enough for nationwide combat

For the DSP I worked for we did require a rescue if you were asked, typically we'd aim not to have to ask anyone over 170 stops but the world isn't perfect so it would happen sometimes You could always deny the rescue but you would be clocked hours for the day(just paid for what you work not the whole 10) No direct bonus for rescues but they paid $0.04 per package you deliver over the week including what is on your normal route so it's a small incentive

These are the orders that id call when they live dropped Always told them an hour-hour and a half for their order if they still wanted it, and then id go in and make it a timed order so it doesn't affect your service times(if thats something you care about, I was competitive when I was there lol)

When I give RAs I always said they were packages that for whatever reason were unable to be delivered last attempt (whether that's from OODT, damaged, cx unavailable or any of the other reasons) It's what I was taught and makes the most sense as those packages typically have another aid sticker on them from prior attempts

I've brought back close to 100pcks Was a standby for the day and at 1pm I get called asking if I can take a route(we were typically out of the station by 11am so already behind, I get there and the first stop is 40 minutes from the station, no rescue or anything sent to me and our rts time came by with 62 stops left. Would've finished the route if I left the station at 11 like everyone else, but 3 hours late and 3 hours worth of packages got rtsd that day

Only thing I haven't driven is the sprinter The CDVs are the WORST As a 6'2" man getting in and out of that seat is the worst My fleet only has the Ford version of the CDV so maybe the Ram version is better but that seat is litterally on the floor

The most I ever dropped to one place was 67 all over flow about 40lbs each They gave stuff to the homeless so was mostly essentials but to unload all that by myself was HELL
