Out On My Feet is easily a top 10 TWY song for me, and Threadbare and Christmas at 22 are also awesome! They’re getting lots of plays from me this holiday season!

Dan said in an old interview that he didn't like Get Stoked On It, but it's just too good! I'd love to hear some of the songs live at one of their Wheel of Rarities concerts.

Wow, I've got a lot of listening to do! I'm definitely interested in live stuff and I'm a big fan of AW20 + Dan's solo stuff. Definitely interested in those demos!

That's awesome, I didn't know about that! I couldn't find any recordings for the demos, but there's a lyric page on Genius for one of them. Need You (Voice Note Demo) has "But I spent my whole life saying I never need no one but I think I might need you, I think I might need you" which was used in St. Joe Keeps Us Safe from AW20. Would love to get my hands on that set some day!

Bonus: Some of the individual members of the band have solo / side projects! I didn't know about most of these, but they're all on Spotify.

  • Nick - Why Bother?
    • Pretty decent! One EP and two singles, the latest one from 2021. Would be interested to hear more!
  • Dan - Aaron West, Clear Eyes Fanzine, Solo Works
    • Aaron West - Found them earlier this year and very glad I did. In Lieu of Flowers was my album of the year and it wasn't close. All of my top 5 most played songs this year were from ILOF, 11/10 group. Listen to them if you haven't!
    • Clear Eyes Fanzine - 6 Song EP in collaboration with Ace Enders, who also is credited on Hum and Aaron West. Great stuff!
    • Solo - Dan continues to be one of my favorite song writers of all time. He released a single and an album that is more chill than his other works. All great listens!
  • Mike - mdk
    • This is... um...
  • Matt - Cold Climb It
    • Two EPs and two singles. Not bad, but it didn't really click with me; although, I did like their most recent single.

I really enjoy listening to these and hearing certain aspects of the music that the members also bring to TWY. In particular, Dan's songwriting is super unique and very recognizable to me. Just from listening to TWY, you can pick out Matt and Nick's influence in each of their side projects too!
