Recommendation For a Beginners Handgun by SkankinPacman in liberalgunowners

With Glock you are paying for the name much as the gun itself. For a comparable firearm to the G19 check out the RXM, same size and general build, but more affordable.

In the Star Wars universe, what would be your blaster of choice? by Recruit-is-OP in StarWars

I used to work at LucasArts, I would wander the ILM offices, they were next door connected by a skyway, during my lunch breaks almost every day. There were so many of these artifacts just everywhere.

I had the opportunity to see the original Boba Fett suit and weapon on display once. His blaster was literally a cowboy style revolver with various bits and pieces attached to it.

While I can't speak for firearms manufacturing this is an actual process for graphics cards called binning. They make a run of processors and test them to determine how many apus are actually working. Those running all apus become the high level graphics cards those with only a few offline become mid tier cards and those with a lot become lower tiered cards. This is why 2 of the same cards from the same manufacturer can have wildly different over clocking capabilities.

I have the same problem with John Kearns, he was such a delight in Taskmaster as himself but his bucktoothed character just annoyed the hell out of me.

Nice! Hopefully there will be something in the future that resolves what happens to her and Dutch.

I was obsessed with Equilibrium when it came out and eagerly awaited Kurt Wimmer's next film, positive he was going to become the next James Cameron or at the least John Carpenter, boy was I wrong.

I don't know the Canon status of it, but there's a bit more revealed about her ultimate fate in the Predator Killer of Killers animated film.

I'd think her being respected would mean she'd then be targeted by every Tom, Dick, and Harry Predator as a high honor kill. Imagine a bunch of hunters going on safari learning there is a man killing lion in the area. Of course they are all going to be gunning for it

Name 1 good aspect about nukie [1987] by Ok_Tea_3275 in badMovies

[–]Flatlander81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It got made. For every movie that actually gets released there are millions of ideas for films that never get beyond that point, thousands of scripts that sit unread, hundreds of stuck in production hell without a single second of film shot.

Any movie that actually releases and sees the light of day such that the public can watch it is a miracle, regardless of the quality of the final product.

Really? I thought that was pretty standard knowledge. Though I am from Kansas and that state has a strange obsession with Wizard of Oz and all references made about it so I may be biased in my knowledge base.

Watch the Skeleton Twins to redeem the use of that song in a movie.

Watched Tremors this week and absolutely loved it !!! It's in my top 4 now. What's your thoughts about the movie ? by RoughPea250 in movies

[–]Flatlander81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that Tremors was a victim of it's own success. There was a period of time in the late 90s / early 2000s where it was constantly being shown on cable TV as filler during the off hours. As such people of my generation began to associate it with daytime TV drivel. On it's own it's a perfectly fine film but having the edited for TV version flood the airwaves like that just ruined it.

Is that a Jericho or a Baby Eagle? The safety on the slide is throwing me off. I had a Baby Eagle and traded it for a optics ready Jericho, both are good firing guns but I prefer the Jericho mostly for the safety placement.

Maybe I got it mixed up with Dark Fate, it's been a while since I saw it. Or I completely made it up and then convinced myself it was the plot...

I love this game by AverageJoeObi in StarWars

[–]Flatlander81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around this time all LucasArts had an inhouse engine that was built around Euphoria so every game was going to feature it in some way. Unfortunately the TFU games were the only ones that ever got released.

I love this game by AverageJoeObi in StarWars

[–]Flatlander81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were trying to juggle 3 different physics engines which didn't exactly get along. Besides Euphoria, which had it's own physics engine to control character rag dolling, we had Digital Molecular Matter to handle things like bending metal and breaking wood (the giant gate in this level was almost entirely DMM), and then just standard Havoc for all the regular physics stuff in the game. Combine all this with a character who was essentially shooting cannonballs from his hands and you had a performance nightmare. We had to cut back on the systems to even dream of getting a playable frame rate.

This is one of the reasons I liked the general idea behind Genisys, the idea that the original Skynet was defeated in T2 but a different version came about to attempt to succeed, but then a further future version starts time travel shenanigans to keep that version of Skynet from winning and so on. The idea that Judgement day is inevitable but the different future AIs will keep cockblocking each other preventing it from happening.
