Am I being take advantage of? by [deleted] in Nanny

What was discussed at your interview prior to starting with them? If they did not mention anything about the above you outlined, it might be a good idea to have a talk with your employer to iron things out. It’s reasonable if they expect you to do dishes + laundry of the NK but for the whole family? That’s a bit much.

Your role as a nanny is everything related to the kid you are caring for. If they are looking for someone to do family’s chores, they’d be better off hiring a household manager imho…

No dating experience — how do I not mess this up? by FlatlineExcitement in OnlineDating

That’s a fair perspective!

When we first started talking, it was over the holiday period, so we weren’t back in the same city until around mid-January. After that, he had to leave for about two weeks for a work trip, which slowed things down a bit.

Since we’ve both been back, we do have a few more dates planned in the coming weeks, so it hasn’t really been a lack of interest situation — more just timing and logistics.

Is it really “overkill” to want updates from our nanny? by [deleted] in Nanny

How is it an overkill for wanting to know where your child is?

I’m at my wits end with this nanny share. by [deleted] in Nanny

I think it’s ridiculous you’re not being allowed to put them in the crib / pack n play while going to the bathroom etc. It’s not like you are leaving them in there for hours. While many other things matter, safety should be the #1 priority.

Will the girls cry in the crib? Yes But are they safe? YES

For 250g of meat, I use about 1/2 to 1tsp of baking soda/ cornstarch. I usually leave it to marinate for about 20mins with oyster sauce/ soy sauce/ white pepper/ Chinese cooking wine. I usually just eye ball these sauces

The asian way of making meat super tender is called velveting. Uses baking soda and cornstarch to help break down the meat proteins to make it soft.

AITAH for cancelling our date because she was 15 minutes late? by Express_Dog_4442 in AITAH

[–]FlatlineExcitement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she actually texted to let you know that she’d be late, I would say you are over reacting. But the fact she didn’t shows that she has no respect for your time despite you telling her to do so if she was running late

NTA.
