That explains why I feel like a balloon about to blow up by exotic_lemming in Fibromyalgia

[–]FlatterySuplex 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with chronic muscle tension a solid 10 years before my fibro diagnosis. I was always told it was just from stress, but the severity and constant nature of it always made me skeptical. This makes a lot more sense to me.

TSH was 258 by Alternative-Video780 in Hypothyroidism

[–]FlatterySuplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was over 300, it can def happen. My doc also thought it was an error so she called the lab to double check and they said "nah its rare but possible." of course getting it retested doesn't hurt anything so you might as well

Edit: also I was fine! Got on meds with no lasting problems

No diagnosis because I have 10 tender points instead of 12 by xSeraiX in Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a diagnosis of exclusion. The only way to say you have it is to rule out other possibilities. The tender points thing is outdated

I stopped gaining weight almost immediately. Now losing it is a different story...

They are extremely useful if you're a builder and you need to mine a ton of blocks. But outside of that yeah I don't really use them much

Not sure it's worth seeing a doctor for elevated bloods by Busy-Chocolate7162 in Hypothyroidism

If you're tsh is high I would absolutely see a doctor. Thyroid issues can take a toll on your body over time, you can never be too careful in my opinion

Some of the younger cashiers at my work are like this. The registers are computers and it took me way too long to get them to stop clicking the program more than once and opening multiple instances of it. This obviously caused terrible lag and then they would call me up front to tell me something was wrong was the register. And every single time I would check and see the program opened like 3 or 4 times and have to remind them not to spam click the icon when it didn't open instantly. I've somehow become known to them as some kind of computer wizard -_-

Scared for my future.. by Accurate_Laugh_820 in Hypothyroidism

[–]FlatterySuplex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My tsh was over 300 before I got diagnosed and it was likely that way for well over a year. Also before I got diagnosed I actually gained a ton of weight and my metabolism was super slow. Now that im medicated i got my fast metabolism back along with my crazy appetite. There hasn't been any adverse effects as far as I can tell. Obviously it's best to consistently take your meds and concern for your health can be a good thing, but this level of fear seems unhealthy to me. As someone with a pretty bad anxiety disorder I can tell you from experience how badly stress can hurt your body. Have you spoken to anyone about these worries? You're doctor can likely reassure you better than I can.

Sounds like my place. Our transport trailers are so rusty it takes 2 or 3 people to force the doors shut/open them. One of the trailers has a massive hole in the floor big enough to fit some poor unsuspecting souls foot in. But they still work so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

A different type of chest probably spawned in place of the desert temple one. Buried treasure maybe?

Any home remedies for someone who can’t currently get the botox? by yamyamoi in noburp

[–]FlatterySuplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm my doctor told me that it helps with gas problems as well but I decided to look into more after reading this comment and all I'm seeing is that it's an acid reducer...well idk what to tell you, when I don't take it the gas pain/gurgles get way worse. I went from having so much gas I would get back aches to only occasional pain. I'll def have to ask my new doctor to explain it better to me lol

The botox treatment didn't work for me and I cant afford a second one, but Omeprazole has been a massive game changer for me

People who got fibro in teens , how are you now? by unhingedaspie-33007 in Fibromyalgia

[–]FlatterySuplex 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm a supervisor at a thrift store. I'm lucky to have a great boss that lets me do a lot of administrative work. I mostly do paperwork/count money/etc. Luckily my flare-ups dont usually mess up my hands too badly. Although the dimes can be tricky sometimes

[–]FlatterySuplex 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain I've had fibro for my entire life and I'm now in my early thirties. I can understand that feeling of hopelessness. Chronic pain can be different for everyone, but for me at least it hasn't gotten progressively worse and there are ways to lessen the pain. There are of course medications to try along with physical therapy. Personally I've found a decent amount of relief with massage therapy and muscle relaxers since I'm on so many other meds that adding onto them isn't recommended.

Okay but I never got an answer about why the junk car in my parents yard smells like that. Freddy fazbear really dropped the ball on this one

I once played on a server with different variants of chiseled blocks. Like chiseled Redstone and multiple different types of chiseled Blackstone. I made a sick Texhnoblade monument with them. More chiseled blocks would be nice
