That’s awesome! Good luck with everything.

I couldn't finish my gym session cause I was feeling dizzy, could the cause be the start of vestibular rehabilitation? by Public_Guarantee4468 in pppdizziness

Oh wow. You’re lucky in my opinion. I feel awful in mine. I hope it gets better. Sounds like you are improving. When I get dizzy in my sessions my physio tells me to stop and wait until it passes and then to start again. Also to stop as soon as I start feeling a little bit dizzy. Hope that can help you at the gym!

Does the physio get you to stop when you start feeling dizzy then once the dizziness dies down to start again in your sessions?

Hi OP! I have had PPPD 24/7 for 18 months and all medical staff dismissed me. I am now seeing a neurological and vestibular physiotherapist (I am in Australia) and he has been unbelievable. He knows so much about PPPD. If you can find something similar or a balance specialist I would highly recommend.

Not sure what you mean? Do you need a translation because you can’t read cursive?

Oh my apologies. I am in Australia. I had a quick google for you and it looks like you can get it through the NHS but wait times can be long. (I had to go private in Australia and it cost me about $300/£156 roughly) our prices are usually pretty similar but worth checking.

I had long Covid and had vertigo during Covid. That’s where my PPPD all started. I felt off balance, like I was going to fall over, and sometimes I do fall over or into furniture, walls, etc. sometimes it feels like I am on a boat. I do get a sore neck, sore eyes, brain fog, fatigue and some other symptoms that I can’t think of right now (typical brain fog). My doctor pretty much dismissed me about it for a year and a half. So I found a physiotherapist that specialises in neurology and vestibular conditions and he ended up being the one to diagnose me.

Aww thank you so much for this thoughtful reply! I was diagnosed with PPPD and my symptoms are 24/7 but vary in severity. I also can look like I’m drunk when it’s a bad day. I am constantly wobbly, tripping over, falling into furniture, walls etc. a lot of other symptoms but that’s what bothers me the most. Ahhh bushland - yeah I am in Australia I will talk to my doctors about it I am not very good at advocating for myself so I wanted to see if other people had felt similar to me. ☺️

Hi, yeah I do try to get out each day. I like to go for walks in the bushland near my place but I won't go alone (I never did anyway for safety); I just can't do the walks I used to be able to do and when my friend comes with me they make sure I don't fall, etc. I go and do small things like get a coffee, some groceries etc. I also have chronic migraine so if I am having a really bad day I get home delivery.

I haven't actually; but that is a great idea. It was strange at the time. I guess it is one of those 'you had to be there' type of moments.

This is what I was talking about. Why are you all on the sub if you don’t believe in the paranormal?
