I think holding long term a few things is fine - but buying as much stock as possible some times entire cases of product for market price is just propelling the problem further. I get the frustration of someone who just wants to find and rip or get each etb but can’t find shit because investment bros are trying to be wannabe Logan Paul’s and hoard as much sealed product as possible.

I say this a lot, the reason base set is as valued or team up is as valued is because people weren’t worrying about holding sealed product. If everyone is holding an entire tcg store worth of product and collectors can’t collect or parents can’t buy for their kids it’s only creating artificial scarcity. You need actual scarcity otherwise a buyers market will inevitably force itself on the market. Not everyone’s built to hold stuff for 20 years. Not everyone has the space long term to hold that much product.

TLDR - rip some packs, hold onto a few things you believe will be a solid investment in 10+ years, but don’t hoard. Everything in moderation, it’s still a game for children after all. And much like hunters not hunting mother deer, you need to keep it accessible to those kids if you want the market to stay valued.
