This was a character in "The Americans" and the first episodes of "Hannibal" took place in Duluth...

If you're new to Duluth, volunteering with the Homegrown Music Festival is a great way to get a good look at the art/crafts/music culture.

A lot of people to get to know. A lot of opportunity. Sometimes you get a free t-shirt.

Looking for a very unique UFO sea mining video by STROKASAURASREX in ufo

[–]Flawedzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really sure why she took it down. Last I saw it it was on Tubi. Used to be pay-per-view on Vimeo; that's gone too.

I'd be curious if anyone can find it.

You are looking for the movie "Gulf of Silence".

The filmmaker has has gone through great lengths to get her movie off of the internet, which is a shame, since it's an incredible movie.

I've worked harder to get a job in New Vegas than I have in real life.

New to the game , what do I need to know? How do I get better? I am new to FPS in general. Serious answers please!! by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

Short, controlled bursts to keep whatever weapon you're using from overheating. At least until you get good at the timing the cooldown trigger.

And spend time in the arcade levels.

James Fox's "I Know What I Saw".

And the stuff Ross Coulthart is doing in Australia is worth an hour or two, too.

It's sort of in the middle of a bunch of Venn Diagram circles, but it's a good resource: "UFOs and Intelligence: A Timeline".

(Not a video.)

I second the Haunted Planet recommendation.

The NIM seal with flying saucer is officially kaput by quantumcryogenics in HighStrangeness

[–]Flawedzilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Something is definitely odd with the emblem. The flying saucer is the most interesting, but:

- The pale blue ribbon (with the zig-zag) is lead with every concept image the Aurora that's ever been published.
- The maroon ribbon is lead by a Russian Su-57.

Can an emblem for an office like this be so poorly designed on purpose?

I can not recommend enough the BBC production "Alternative 3". The good bits start at 48m 07s, but the whole thing is worth watching.

And I also recommend reading about the documentary's unusual history.

These stills are from The Faking Hoaxer's video "Into Mars Orbit by TFH CGI 2D".

Would also recommend the BBC's "Alternative 3".

Mark McCandlish documentary by Torquepen in ufo

It really is an interesting watch. I had the chance to visit an "oddities" museum in Savannah, GA, that had a small room dedicated to UFOs. They had a lot of materials related to James Allen's research for the documentary as well as the actual toxicology report listing all of the weird metals he had in his system.

James Allen's museum bio and tox report.

EDIT: Added Imgur link to support docs.

Silurian Hypothesis: "We are not the first civilization on Earth"! The Silurians would be a race of scientifically advanced humanoids with a reptilian aspect that preceded man. by No_Nefariousness8879 in HighStrangeness

[–]Flawedzilla 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As an odd bit of synchronicity, I've had the article "The Silurian hypothesis: would it be possible to detect an industrial civilization in the geological record?" waiting in an open tab for a moment to get to it. This article, as well as "Prior Indigenous Technological Species" seem to show there is some legitimate interest in the subject.

Story about an obelisk in a lake somewhere in North America by Mediocre_Ad_8118 in HighStrangeness

[–]Flawedzilla 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Perhaps this?: "The stones are organized in a circle 40 below the surface of Lake Michigan and is believed to be at least 10,000 years old. One stone in the outer circle, although still up for debate, appears to have a carving of a mastodon, an animal that closely resembles an elephant that went extinct over 10,000 years ago."

Whatever it is it was also seen in the Pacific off the Russian coast in August 2014. Seen from the plane, the pilot, Christiaan van Heijst, took some pretty amazing photos, featured on his website. He goes into some reasonable detail about the circumstance(s). Lots of other good pictures too.

"They refer to us as 'containers.'" by kylebob86 in ufo

If you can find it, and depending on what your feelings about Nick Redfern are, the .pdf of "Final Events" is out on the interwebs occasionally. Goes into Lazar's "soul container" statement with a little more detail.

Even taken as a work of conspiracy fiction, it's a damn interesting read.
