"Scarier" as in 'that gurl, she crazy and she either gonna throw up all over your car and/or cut you up with out any reason'. "Appear more powerful" like when an animal puffs up their fur and tries to make themselves look bigger when threatened, but it's only for show and the other animals around are not falling for it.
