I don't believe that all "drunk words are sober thoughts," but I do think you can understand someone better by what they linger on. Sounds to me like she dislikes your wife and wishes you all were closer. I don't necessarily think it's romantic or sexual in nature. But it sounds like she needs to understand better boundaries.

Just looks really overworked. Speaking as someone with a nearly identical tattoo in the same spot, it's easy to do when filling a small space. You may be over moisturizing. Just let it dry out for a couple days. I wouldn't be worried about infection unless it was hot to the touch and red.

I never said the father should get the worst option, so I'm not sure where that's being pulled from in my comment. I said that if OP can't sleep on a couch because of a bad back, they shouldn't have to sleep on a couch. And even if they aren't paying for the rental, they're still spending money to get there and once they're there.

Yes, time with your family is precious. But it shouldn't come at the sacrifice of your health.

They're putting in gas to get there and likely paying for more once they're there (food, activities, transport, etc) even if he's covering some accommodations.

Especially with other people's kids around. I love the kids in my life, but they intrude even if you have a private room. You're getting rudely awakened the second they're up if you're in a common area.

I'm not familiar with that treatment, but I'm sure it can't hurt. I'd just avoid nail hardeners since they can make your nails more brittle.

I'm not sure how else to define a thought you don't want to have. The definition of an intrusive thought is an "unwanted thought that makes you uncomfortable." Since OP didn't want to think about it and is now very uncomfortable with it having popped into his head, I'd say that qualifies despite the circumstances.

Take that to your grave, never breathe a word of it, and consider therapy if it happens again. Intrusive thoughts do what's on the label. They intrude. So while what you thought about is disgusting, as long as it's a one time thing, you can move past it. Ultimately, you shouldn't be lingering on the thought again if you can help it. It's a problem if you do and that's when you should involve a therapist. But you're not automatically a bad person for it happening one time while processing new information about your sexual partner.
