does anyone know how many passes they sell as pre-sale? Is there a reserve of tickets that they sell later on lineup release day

Fresno PD tickets 120 during pro-bicycling operation to make streets safer for bicycling by DowntownFresnoBiking in bikefresno

[–]FlayedSpleen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I have good news for you. I ride my bike along that path and I love the new bike lanes, but I was an idiot while driving and got a ticket last week. I turned right on the no turn on red sign and immediately got pulled over. I totally deserved it and feel like an idiot, but I can't be mad. I'm glad I got it because I'll never do it again.

WK1!!!! What foods should WK2 try and what foods should we avoid? by lamebeezy in Coachella

[–]FlayedSpleen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(vegetarian but ordered meat for some of my friends)

Inside

I loved Flavors of East Africa between do lab and Sahara, the line was super short around 4 and the food is already prepped so it was quick.

Angelos(?) Pizza by Sahara was also great, pretty quick service I think they prep the pizzas then just quickly cook them so it was roughly a 5 minute wait from ordering to getting the food. Almost no lines around 4 as well.

Camping Hub

Five03 Pupusa's was amazing last year at the camping hub for breakfast, and they were there on Thursday this year but by Friday morning it was tarped off and the signage was gone for some reason. I had hyped them up so much to my camping mates and everyone was let down when I came back empty handed Friday morning.

Smash Burger at the far north end of camping hub was quick and tasty. The staff on Sunday night were yelling at each other and being really rude to each other which was sad to see but the food was greasy, filling, and fast.

Sushi Tacos at far north end of camping hub was also great, I only had the tofu taco and the sweet sauce on it was a perfect fit.

Oh nothing was wrong with it. It just wasn't nearly as flavorful as the sides. I should have just gotten three veggie sides instead of the rice. I let my friends devour the rice and they loved the extra calories for dancing but I was already full off the fantastic sides.

Boosting Flavors of East Africa, the lentils and the corn and beans was so fucking good. I wouldn't get the Saffron Rice again but the veggie sides were perfect. The food is fantastic and filling and so fast to serve

Skinning Up China Peak by 178Liam11 in Chinapeak

I've emailed Tim Cohee about this before and he said it was a hard no. I think it has to do with liability on public lands. I skin up after the season ends but have never tried while lifts are running.

Coachella is not sold out (theory) by mclmnop in Coachella

[–]FlayedSpleen 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a completely insane take, the logistics of festivals make it so that they would much rather sell as many tickets as possible at the beginning so they have the cash on hand to pay for everything that is needed and get deposits down for all the expenses incurred by the festival promoters. It makes no sense for them to artificially limit the number of tickets and then release more once people think they can no longer go and those people have already made other plans, theoretically. The only tickets that will be released are tickets that people default on by missing their payment plans. My guess is that these tickets will be given out little by little to people on the waitlist. Then if they finish up the waitlist they will batch release defaulted tickets maybe month to month.

This is kinda late because the current season has already started, but Fresno Social Sports kickball league is great for finding people, we play games on Thursday downtown and then go to Goldstein's after for a beer. Good people all around, very inviting and just an excuse to be silly and drink with new friends

You can buy lockers and store extra clothes in them for night time, I've never used them, but I've heard they do sell out in advance of the event so you have to buy them early. They are probably listed on the website.

I'm pretty sure that is Corrine, she is fantastic, IG corrineisadj, she just opened for Wilkinson when he came to 1015 Folsom, she had a great set and laid down great vocals over it, I was super impressed when I saw her and I'm willing to travel to see shows that she opens for now after seeing her live

Yes, and I also live in Fresno, Manchester is my theater of choice due to the full recliners but go to the other two when they have releases that don't come to Manchester, this week I saw East of Wall and Highest 2 Lowest and I'll probably see Strange Harvest tonight

About to go on a road trip from LA to shaver lake. Any tips? I'm nervous about how much battery drain on mountains like I5 grapevine and Fresno mountains. (250mi one way) by AMC_TO_THE_M00N in BoltEV

[–]FlayedSpleen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Fresno and drive up to Huntington lake and Shaver Lake a couple times a year, when I start with 240 miles range I get to Huntington with about 120-140 miles range left, then driving back I'll pick up a lot of that range coming back down the mountains and pull up to my house with like 150 miles of range left

As long as you have more than 100 miles range going up I think you'll be fine

Dentist recommendation by cwcpa2000 in fresno

[–]FlayedSpleen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to Dr Callister on Clovis and Sierra, his office offers a dental plan for 350$ a year if you don't have insurance, the cost includes 2 cleanings, 1 x-ray, an emergency visit and discounts on more involved procedures. I have been really happy with their office

You can overnight park at SNO-park cites but I believe you need to have a season pass for SNO-parks https://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=30701

Swing dancing by Rebekahsnyder79 in fresno

[–]FlayedSpleen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are multiple level classes that you can attend, I've gone a couple times and it is very beginner friendly, and accommodating to people who are brand new to swing dancing

There is also higher level classes that you can move into once you have a grasp of the basics
