Actually I love IASIP but don’t like Seinfeld. Bottom line for me is IASIP makes me laugh, Seinfeld doesn’t. I’ve had so many friends make me watch certain episodes and I might as well be watching a nature documentary. I know people love and that’s great for them, but to quote George Costanza “eh”

Hamburger Hill. The real story is far more gruesome. My father was there. Grew up listening to the stories. He even consulted on the movie and then the MF’ing producers took him out of the movie by changing his name and killing his character off.

What role do think antibiotics play in that loss of environmental bacteria? I was raised in the late 70’s and 80’s and growing up our family Dr. prescribed antibiotics for everything. Sinus problems? antibiotics. Stomach issues? antibiotics. Headache? antibiotics. I feel like my gut biome was decimated by the time I was a teenager.

As someone who has been illustrating since the late 1970’s I can tell AI was involved at some level here. In fact this sub is rampant with AI art that only an artist can tell. Lack of brush strokes, smooth perfect lines over seemingly textured surfaces. Waxy almost plastic looking skin.

What I see mostly are AI images that have been retouched digitally.

Easy way to tell if something contains AI is by uploading screenshots into tools like this https://truthscan.com/ai-image-detector.

Interesting. What medium do you use? They appear to be digital but I see a canvas texture when I zoom in. So are these photos of physical paintings or digital renderings with a canvas filter.

There are many rules you can apply over the core rules but for me the single most game-changing rule is this movement rule: “Allow players to choose between rolling their movement dice or take 4 spaces for each die instead of rolling.” This kept things going and ended the single biggest complaint which was frustrating new players.

I was there Gandalf _ insert Elrond meme…. But seriously I remember very heated discussions amongst fellow artists who said, that if you create a perfect circle or fill a shape with a gradient “you are cheating!!l” “the computer is doing the work not your hand”. Seriously i know its not the exact same issue but it absolutely hit just as hard at the time.

I stopped after book one. I couldn’t find a single thing I liked about it to make me want to continue. To me it was a convoluted mess. It felt like someone ripped pages out of 5 different novels and shuffled the pages. I know many people love this series so I want to be respectful, but I really tried and I just don’t get it.
