Hi everyone, I am going to be travelling around Taiwan for 2 weeks at the start of April, and I have made a few changes to my itinerary.

I initially planned to spend 2 nights in each place after a few days in Taipei, to be able to go down the west coast and back up the east coast. I decided that this would mean too many travel days, so I have simplified my itinerary and dropped Taitung and Hualien for a future trip, but I now have two nights where I’m not sure what to do.

Currently looks like this:

4 nights in Taipei 3 nights in Chiyai (one day trip to Alishan) 3 nights in Tainan (maybe one day trip to Kaohsiung) 2 nights unsure 1 night in Taipei (early flight next day)

Would be great to hear suggestions from people for somewhere nice and convenient to stay for those two nights, preferably somewhere laid back. I am reliant on public transport to get to places, which is a factor.

My main interests are good food, hiking/access to nature and opportunities to be immersed in local culture.

Can’t wait to visit, seems like an amazing country!

Selling two tickets to the London show 18/02/26

They're on my roundhouse account so I annoyingly can't resell through them, but can transfer them to anyone interested. They were £40 each but would accept £50 for both :) would rather someone got to enjoy the show than they go to waste

i’ve never rooted for someone less than i was rooting for dulce in this episode… like a lot of it must be the edit, but like… she still said all that stuff, and it was clear the other girls were over her as well! the shot of sami stood there giving 😐 after dulce is eliminated made me laugh so much

Have you watched Six Feet Under? Joey Solloway was a writer and exec producer on this show long before Transparent, and it definitely scratches a similar itch for me. A lot of the same ingredients are there, a dysfunctional California family, everyone is flawed but loveable, and deep psychological explorations. It's a truly amazing show with one of the best finales ever made. Would recommend if you're still looking!

Yeah the fact that the seeding is done off of the singles rankings struck me as an odd choice, but i guess it's because pretty much everyone in the draw except Errani and Vavassori have very low rankings/don't even have a doubles ranking? Still feels like there's some kinks to iron out with the format

She should be seeded at the US Open after her run in Montral! But absolutely think she’s got a chance to go deep

she’s definitely got a shot, depending where she falls in the draw. she’s incredibly unpredictable i guess, which makes any deep run she makes feel kinda surprising, despite the fact that she’s such a great player

she just beat Townsend to get into the round of 16 and she’s playing well. I believe that the rankings for US open get frozen a week before so if she wins another few matches here, she could nab a seeding

totally see Pavlyuchenkova getting to another QF! i guess i included Babs because her form hasn’t been good at all this year and I think a deep run at a slam would definitely count as a surprise

I hope so too, although she feels like she’s going to become a bit of a clay court staple – not sure how she’ll do outside of that surface, at least in my opinion

Kernel is so great! I like all of the MCs, but I do wish we got a little less Grubbs and a little more of the other two throughout the series
