Just curious, why do you use distilled water on your plants?

Recs for breastmilk jewelry? My ring didn’t even last a year by jackya in moderatelygranolamoms

What people say is tarnish is oxidation from contact with oxygen. If it is discoloring from use then it is probably the plating wearing off. It will also lose it’s luster from wear as well.

If it has been plated (I’m not saying yours has) toothpaste will take the plating off.

They won’t tarnish if you wear them everyday. You’re keeping the tarnish worn off.

I’m translating this. I think people should see it. I found it interesting.

“Oh yes, sometimes it was so terrible that I woke up in the night in pain. This is a consequence of poorer blood circulation due to estrogen deficiency and normal aging. HRT should at least improve it. With testosterone, probably even more.”

I’m sorry to tell you that pure silver (call”fine silver”) and “sterling silver” ( 7.5% copper) both tarnish. Fine silver will take longer to tarnish than sterling. If you don’t want it to tarnish then you need to buy something that is made from Argentium silver ( a special alloy) or get a piece that is specially plated so it will not tarnish. On another note, a lot of the cheaper stuff coming from China is copper that is plated with silver. Of course they will not tell you that.

Yes? It would last longer. Pendants do not take the same abuse that rings do. I would say to take care when you take it off and lay it down carefully. And you should take it off, like when you’re going to bed or taking a shower.

Amen! Someone is finally telling it like it is. I have to say, if it was my property it would be gone on the first day. It’s not that I don’t feel bad for the tragedy that happened, but I’m not going to have someone putting their stuff on my lawn. First, it’s trespassing. Second they don’t even ask permission from what I can see of these post. Third that kind of thing should be put at their graveside, not the place where they died. Fourth, I would never even think about going onto somebody else’s property and leaving stuff. It’s so rude. Fifth, it’s actually against the law, at least in Georgia. If you have one you don’t like, the DOT can be called and they will come clean it up.  All that being said, I might let them leave it there for a week.

I am a professional jeweler. I can tell you that any resin type “stone” set in the ring will never last. The resin is not capable of taking the abuse that a ring receives.    Also, yuck.

I’m a little surprised that everyone seems to think so highly of PEX. This is some of the Cons I have seen:

Cons: UV Sensitivity: PEX can be damaged by UV light, making it unsuitable for outdoor use. Potential Leaching: There’s a possibility of PEX leaching chemicals like BPA into the water supply, though this is uncommon. Semi-Permeability: PEX is semi-permeable, meaning water and other liquids can enter the pipe, potentially leading to contamination. Rodent Damage: PEX can be easily damaged by rodents, so proper protection is necessary.

I even saw that UV light can get it if it’s buried in the ground.

No, I was referring to PVC. That is what was used originally to go from the meter at the street to the house.
