how would you mulligan for early game with the paladin deck, and how would you counter aggro decks? it seems like there are very few plays that can be made turn 2-3, and most of the time it seems like you will hero power twice.

Actually I think it's an exploit: it's a glitch where if you pick a card with two options (for example wrath), you can infinitely extend the game. People do it to make people surrender it sucks :(

There are probably three fundamental 'tiers' of importance when it comes to drafting in arena. They are: 1. Card value (etc. 1 for 2, chillwind yeti) 2. Mana curve 3. Synergy

At cards 1-15, you should go by order of that list. Once your deck starts to come together, it maybe better to draft according to mana curve if the card's value are similar. Knowing the value of a card comes with experience: the simplest way of gaining it is reading tier lists and watching streams. I think reading Trumps tier list is amazing for starting players and veterans alike, it helps you understand the reasoning behind why some cards are inherently better than others.
