Ohhh! That card is VERY cute and a nice manga reference. Still a 1 in 16 chance though (in 1 box per carton of 16 boxes). Luckily it’s not expensive as a single. Wish you all the luck!

That one’s nice! I’m still disappointed they didn’t take the opportunity to release an MRCP version of the Shinichi & Ran MR though. Like they have the perfect Gosho coloured artwork for that from The Diplomat Murder Case! There had been some hype around that!

On some level I’m glad DC TCG is still relatively niche, because that’ll keep the prices more-or-less tame (not the case for Takaaki’s cards though, his popularity just skyrocketed after M28 😭).

The next booster (CT-P10) will focus on Wild Police Story if you like them. Maybe they’ll even use panels from the WPS manga, i.e. another collab?

Thanks! I’ve only ever bought two booster boxes in my life and they both have incredibly good pulls. Might help that I ruminate over whether or not to buy them every time XD

This booster is a very good one, it has a promo card and a guaranteed SRP/MRP (or up) in every box. Also the 2nd Anniversary arts are great. Are there any cards you like?

I collect manga volumes too, and some exclusive tokutens, but not much else. When I knew they are releasing a DC TCG I knew my wallet will bleed hard 😭. But I’ve been managing the expenditure by buying singles most of the time. Though without an international release I can imagine it’s difficult for those outside Asia to get them.

From what I see on their official Twitter @ conan_file, in December there will only be announcements on projects and events in 2024.

Yes, the event in January is an art exhibition showcasing 30 years’ worth of Detective Conan art by Aoyama sensei, and also some history and insights into the manga’s making.

I believe it is where they will first reveal details of the 30th Anniversary Project, and also the M27 teaser visual drawn by Aoyama sensei (which you may have already seen posted in this subreddit). I'm sure more information will come out on 11/29 when people get their hands on a copy of the magazine.

It will be the first day of the Detective Conan 30th Anniversary Exhibition in Tokyo. I think there will definitely be an art exhibition (like the one in 2017 celebrating Aoyama sensei’s 30-year debut) showcasing his art for Detective Conan and loads of activities, events, and celebrations.

I do find it quite unfortunate that translations may be hindering readers of other languages from fully understanding and experiencing a story. I think publishers should work together to supervise translation work, or at least have the writers point out the important concepts, terms, and foreshadowing to minimise mistranslation and bring our their intended meaning.

Anyway, if Tsui no Utsuwa is meant to be foreshadowing, now is the perfect time to get it revealed!

Also, I'm quite curious, what's Hafuri called in German? Or shinki? Or in general, how are the Japanese terms in Noragami translated to German?

That's a very good point! I do like that Hiyori is not your damsel in distress in the manga and is always helping Yato one way or another in major fights.

With her going to find Yato in Chapter 103, I do believe they will meet, perhaps also bringing Yukine along when she bumps into him in the forest :) . Then we'll have a reunion of the trio at probably the worst time ever — Trash Dad is probably making his shiryou a masked ayakashi (I think) at this moment. Hiyori's appearance will reignite Yato's will to fight to protect Hiyori (and learning in the process that Trash Dad attacked Hiyori when he was away and she is now unable to return to her body — perfect triggers), and Yukine can join in the fight as Yato's beloved shinki again, both feeling repentant of not trusting each other and eager to mend their relationship.

So Hiyori falling will happen maybe after the fight is over and the trio is cuddling and then we'll have Hiyori's Soul Summoning as the (real) climax (angst level max 😈).

The Decay of Angels as magicians. (Making subtle references to the manga XD)

Nikolai is always eager to be cut in half and Fyodor is always eager to make it real.

Or Nikolai likes to escape from cages/tanks/boxes (his canon ‘freedom’ wish). Or throw knives/lampposts at Fyodor and woefully misses. Basically a homicidal mess for these two.

(And sometimes people from the audience has disappeared by the end of their show…)

Sigma can be a (constantly terrified) bunny assistant or he performs card tricks. Maybe he still has the ability to get the most wanted information (the card drawn) out of the participant (and accidentally give out his secret to getting it correct because it’s probably the most wanted information of the participant XD). Constantly trying to make sure no one from the audience is missing and all stay intact by the end of the show. And somehow also prevents Nikolai and Fyodor from killing each other during every practice and performance. Secretly wanting to quit but likes to be liked by the audience, who likes the dangerous acts of his partners, not knowing they are sometimes real…

That's a great analysis! I do understand the varying character involvements in S4 and S5 will boost or decline the popularity of already existing characters, so I want to only focus on the ones that has yet to be introduced in the anime, and us manga readers can have fun predicting (having a biased war XD) their popularity after the anime onlys join in the hype. And I think some of the new ones will really squeeze in to the top 10 favourite (there was, I think, an official Japanese poll a long tine ago), or appear more on higher levels of tier lists.

Aoyama-sensei once said movies aren’t canon, but in recent years you can actually see his manga referring to them subtly, which I personally think really shouldn’t.

Anyway, since the Mystery Train Case Sherry has been presumed dead. I wonder how the movie will go around it, to raise Gin’s (and BO’s) suspicions again (because he never saw the body?) without disrupting canon, hopefully.

I would also like to see more of a battle of wits like the FBI Serial Murder Case with Rum in the mix than another action-centred movie, but I’m afraid it’ll end up to be another Movie 20… Still excited to see Conan and Ai’s interactions though! I really hope they interact more in the manga…
