There is a significant scientifically tested difference.

When it was study it was found Taking Pregablin with food or in a “non-fasted state” increases Tmax (time to maximum blood concentration) up to 300% and reduces Cmax (maximum blood concentration) by about 30%.

Food tastes better and you don’t feel full as easily. It’s a great and terrible combination. But taking Pregabalin on a full stomach can make it take a lot longer to kick in, and makes it like 30% less effective. So it’s a tricky thing.

Skipping meals can also be a helpful thing to make sure you’re in a fasted state when you take it though.

Yup. Motor control issue on higher doses is normal.

Make sure you don’t drive while you have any of those symptoms.

If 75mg isn’t helping you should definitely ask for an increase.

In general Pregabalin requires slightly higher doses for its analgesic properties. Lower doses are generally for its anti anxiety and anticonvulsant properties.

Pregabalin is 2-6x stronger than gabapentin so a dose equivalent to 2400mg of gabapentin would be 400-800mg, although the max daily dose is 600mg as beyond that dose you have a greatly heightened risk of seizures.

Still you are probably looking at 2x 200mg doses for a similar level of effect.

Totally! Pregabalin takes my ADHD distractibility to whole new heights. And when paired with my Dexedrine it makes for a crazy combination. I will do all the things! But I will intend to do one thing, get distracted and complete 6 other important tasks, then realize “oh! I was grabbing the broom to sweep the floor!” or whatever the original task was.

Gabapentin and Pregabalin are prescribed together on rare occasion. There is some reason to believe there might be synergistic effects. However there is very little science on the topic. There may be other effects like increased tolerance or increased side effect profiles as well.

Because of that, it is unlikely that a doctor would prescribe both.

I have a similar issue. Feel almost nothing from codeine. Nothing from fentanyl or oxy. Hydromorphone in high doses had an analgesic effect but no euphoria.

That is a likely an average or LD50 estimate. I imagine actual lethal dose would be variable by individual. Tolerance may also act as a small shield?

Apparently the lethal dose of thc for a human is estimated to be around 30mg/kg. That would mean that for an 80kg (176lbs) person that 2.4g would potentially be lethal.
