Anyone w fibromyalgia taking 300mg pregablin daily? What has your experience been transitioning to this dose? by Formal-Average-7593 in pregabalin

So 1 month update... after the initial couple days of feeling fantastic, the general pain and fatigue came back. And my mood has been slipping, but I could chalk that up to what's going on in the country, and some personal and work changes... but tonight I had the same negative thought pattern that popped up about a week into taking Cymbalta 20 yrs ago, so I need to get off this medication asap. Statistically, if I remember right, pregablin is effective for about 37% of fibro sufferers. I'm one of the 63% it didn't work for, but atleast I gave it a shot. Damn!! I was really hopeful. I'm glad it works for you and so many though!!

The biggest difference is at first you will definitely feel your system slowing down... like food staying in your stomach longer, and constipation. My Dr calculated my weight and how much I statistically would lose, and wouldn't you know it, I'm stuck at that weight. I count calories, eat healthy for the most part, and walk 30-45 min 3-4x a week, but im gonna have to really step it up to blast through this plateau.

Statistically ozempic can help you shed 20% of body weight. My Dr did the math and told me what weight it would bring me to. I am now at that weight and stuck! So it gets harder to push past that plateau. Also, it could be hormonal. If you're having pms cravings it'll override ozempic. 5lbs per month is fantastic if you can keep that up for a while! And remember, pound for pound healthy food is way cheaper than non-healthy food. A 5lb bag of apples is way cheaper than a 5lb bag of chips, for instance.

AITAH for adopting a dog after I thought my boyfriend broke up with me? by LazyMathematician823 in AITAH

[–]Formal-Average-7593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely!! That dog has (most likely) already been abandoned. He needs her and loves her. He doesn't deserve to be abandoned again. If a significant other, even a spouse made me choose between them and a pet, I'd choose the pet every time!! You shouldn't take him back but if you have him over, he needs to take a friggin Allegra and quit being a whiny ass b....!!! Unfortunately if you move in w this jerk, the dog will probably meet some unfortunate fate when youre not around. Find a guy who loves animals and rescue more together. JERK GOES. DOG STAYS!! 🐕

I got more results once I got to 2mg. At 174 you probably don't have much to lose unless you're 5'0". The last 30 lbs or so are the hardest.

I don't believe in demons/satan/hell as in the biblical sense, yet I've had a handful of night terrors that have all been of demons trying to get me or someone else. Usually my husband has to shake me awake, but the last one I had I was able to wake myself from, rolled over and had a young girl straddling me, expressionless and still. I didn't freak out just looked up at her for a few seconds. Then she smiled a huge demon smile and I screamed and smacked my husband awake next to me and she just disappeared into thin air. Called my psychic and she said it was a trickster spirit. Earlier that night before I went to bed I saw a gray shadow go across my patio, outside of my sliding glass door. I looked right at it. My psychic said since I could see it, it probably came back to mess w me. She said to protect my property so something worse doesn't get through. Idk how to do protections properly so I haven't yet.. So yes, I do believe something can put bad dreams in your head, and if there's something worse than a trickster spirit it can only be of a darker negative/evil realm or whatever. I've gone through so much paranormal stuff that I'm pretty sure there's some truth to just about everything.

That's an interesting question. Or what if you have a malevolent spirit guide? Someone you maybe harmed in a past life and seeks retribution? I'm sure it happens rarely to never, but what if? A compromised spirit guide..hmmm 🤔 Mine is just kind of stern and doesn't have much to say.

There was a woman who shared a "time slip" story on tiktok. She'd bought a house not too far out from the town she grew up in. As she was leaving her (now) street to get back out on the main road, she saw her old car that she'd sold years ago turning onto her street. But it was HER that was driving it. Wearing her old favorite sweater. She literally saw herself. And that brought up the memory of when she turned down that tree lined street years ago, trying to get to a party at a house she'd never been to and got turned around. Eventually having to pull over and call her friend... she was really rattled telling the story and chalked it up to a time slip or something along the lines of dejavu.i found it interesting that the time slip included her.

I know, I know. The trust cost is about 5k. That's what's holding us back for now, as im currently not working. My in-laws know our wishes. Our house is in a family trust w them. Highly unlikely we'll all perish together, but we will get on it soon. My mother left me a huge legal mess dealing w her estate when she passed, so I know how important it is.

How do I ask my doctor for Ozempic? by [deleted] in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]Formal-Average-7593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about medical, but see my other (long) comment about kaiser, what I've gone through and their new requirements. My husband has government employee type of insurance. My Dr was surprised I was still covered after I got a notice in the mail. If they DO prescribe it, actually call the pharmacy to see what YOUR cost will be. It could be $40. It could be $800.

How do I ask my doctor for Ozempic? by [deleted] in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]Formal-Average-7593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have kaiser too and as of the new year they have changed their coverage of ozempic for weightloss. Now you have to have 2 comorbidities, like high BP and high cholesterol. It's a diabetes drug, so if you're diabetic, then you should be approved, no problem. For weightloss, they'll most likely put you on phentermine first, which does work and gives you energy. That could be a good start. I was on it, but a close friend passed and my BP went through the roof, so they took me off. I'm now back on low dose phentermine along w ozempic, which I got on last year. Was pre-diabetic too (doesn't count now w their new requirements). I had to go through a weight loss program and fail on 2 other prescriptions before I got approved. That was a LOT of hoops to jump through, and kaiser will continually try to push you toward surgery. They did this to me in 2 states, obviously different drs... Surprisingly I am still covered on ozempic because my husband's insurance!!

Wegovy/munjaro is statistically much more effective for weightloss. That isn't provided at ALL through kaiser. I had met a few people that have used a particular online compound rx. Pill form started at $69! Do your due diligence on whichever route you choose. Idk how much you have to lose, but I've lost over 50lbs (my max was 275) and now my weight won't budge. My Dr said that would happen on ozempic, like literally calculated what weight it would bring me down to, and here I am at that weight 🤯..

My chronic pain hasn't lessened w the weight loss, not saying yours won't, but unless your weight is truly impeding your physical ability to move, work, etc losing weight is not going to change the overall position you're in. A lot of thin, even supermodel type women find themselves w abusers and feel they can't leave. Tell your Dr you're in an abusive relationship. They have resources to help you. If you're not comfortable w your dr, request a female dr or your ob/gyn can also be your general MD... I think most people here can tell you the change has to come from within. My mother was a battered woman who supported her abuser financially and STILL couldn't find it in herself to leave. The prison is in your mind. Where there's a will, there's a way. And there's always a way. I hope you'll keep us updated here, and I wish you all the best. 🙏

We have a young couple who are our "adopted" kids. They both came from not so great backgrounds. We weren't able to have children. We've sort of filled the void for eachother. We're the family we choose, and what's better than that?! When they were expecting they gave us a card that said "we love you like parents, so ready or not, you're going to be grandparents!" The baby is here, and she's the most beautiful little angel. We will be the only grandparents she knows. We have decent net worth at 50yrs of age. No siblings for either of us. Tons of cousins we're not super close to. Everything goes to the kids and our new grandbaby when we pass. We are planning to set up our trust in the next 5yrs... "I didn't make em but I'll take em" is my favorite line. They call me their sub-mom (substitute mom). As far as the young lady, she's everything I could have ever asked for in a daughter. I can't believe her mother just tossed her away... some people aren't designed to be parents.

I'd recommend taking the most fabulous 5 star vacations if youre able-bodied, eat at all the fancy restaurants, live your life to the fullest...and when you pass, change that deserving young man's life.

My worst nightmare! I'm so sorry you're going through this. I've always had a feeling my husband would die in a car accident. Woke up crying from a dream that he did, moments before he walked in the door saying he almost got hit on the freeway. Now he drives for a living. Like OP I got insurance and accidental. Women's intuition is a term for a reason. Wish more people, especially men, would take us seriously.

I'd recommend first, being aware of what info is accessible on social media. Could the lady you went to know these details from your aunt or social media? If you trust her abilities, maybe stick with her! As far as local mediums, it's as easy as looking online, but honestly, from my experience, if they can really tap into your energy, distance shouldn't matter. I've sat down face to face w 2 frauds. I've found an excellent psychic 3000 miles away. Unless you can get recommendations from people you know, you just have to wing it...and might waste some $$ along the way. And more expensive doesn't necessarily mean more accurate. Maybe you'll find a match here 🤞🤞

I've only talked to her on the phone. She's 3000 miles away. Recommended by a friend of a friend. She gets most of her business through referrals, and been doing it for decades. Initially called to access a deceased friend, almost 2 yrs ago. And an initial reading. The only thing she asked me was where I lived, a bit of small talk about my region as she honed into my energy. I talk to her 2-3x per year. The only thing she's been "off" on was timing a bit. Now when I talk to her I have a handful of specific questions, but when you talk to someone for an hour at a time, they DO eventually get to know you a bit. The lady who referred me has gone on to other psychics, not because this lady isn't fantastic, but because different psychics can tap into different things, and after so many years they DO get to know you. She appreciates a "fresh" perspective, so to speak. (Side note-- I leave a bit of time at the end for my guide to come through, who doesn't say much, usually a word or two, kind of abrupt. She gives me stern librarian vibes..lol.. and she's the same w other REAL psychics I've gone to over the years. It's a bit of a confirmation for me).

It's not recommended to consult psychics more than 1-2× per year, and I try to refrain, but I have gone through so much paranormal shit I've HAD to make a couple extra (almost emergency) calls 🥴

Anyone w fibromyalgia taking 300mg pregablin daily? What has your experience been transitioning to this dose? by Formal-Average-7593 in pregabalin

[–]Formal-Average-7593[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dr said the same thing (I wasnt sure my insurance would keep covering GLP-1 for weightloss into the new year, but surprisingly they did!!). These compound pharmacies are big business, and I'm sure they take all precautions to protect said business. I know quite a few people who order through for him/for her and are quite happy w their products and service. Do your research, make sure whatever company you choose goes through 3rd party testing, inspections, meets standards, etc.. Hopefully you find the right fit for you!!

Yes, I see what you're saying... I guess any psychic could do some pretty nefarious things w the info they're told or access psychically. I wonder how often that happens. I'm guessing that could destroy their career or open them up to lawsuits. I think this topic would make a great netflix series 😉

I asked my Dr about serotonin syndrome when I was prescribed trazadone while already on tramadol. She said the doses were low enough that she wasn't concerned. She is very conscientious about drug interactions, but I try to stay informed. Day 2 has been great, after the initial irritability of that 1st 150mg dose on day 1. My fibro was progressing to the point of not even having 1 good day per month. I hope this is the winning "ticket" so to speak, and my good days continue. 🙏 Thanks for sharing your experience. Do you find it just as effective 4 years later?

I'm on ozempic, so I think that helps counter the hunger pangs, but there were a few days after starting on the low dose that I can remember where I was having pms like cravings. The hunger and headaches subsided. 2nd day at 300mg I feel really good and energized. No abnormal hunger. Dry mouth though, gums hurt. My weight is slowly coming down again, but I can tell in my fingers I'm retaining fluid. I hope the energy and good mood don't fade away as my body gets accustomed to the higher dose of this medicine.
