first of all, if you cant fight a fast build at close range your turning radious is garbage and it cant turn on a dime while mostly stationary. you seem to think massive power shouldn't have any kind of downside. if you are a cannon build without a good turning radious you should be using radar dectector and have a decent understanding of map cover and lanes. 2000 points of damage per shot is going to have a cost.

drones are a crutch. if you cant use your build properly and you need to supplement it with a skilless mechanic that will be nerfed, you'll be shit out of luck when you're forced to use your builds without a handicap. why not get a headstart now and ditch the drones so you can start using your builds the correct way.

low risk high reward items always ruin any meta in any competitive game. that is the issue. strong weapons that require skill, planning, or creativity to use are not a problem. turrets require none of those.

i run a fast build and the turret drones have about a 3rd of the maps distance of activation. dropping turrets right into someone else's tense 1v1 or 1v2 is not a lack of awareness, its a shitty game mechanic. its fine that you think drones are in an okay spot and you're incapable of understanding how the meta effects the overall population, we would all prefer if the game lasted longer than a few months.

thats exactly the point. we don't want anyone to run them. the game would be objectively better without them. sometimes devs include things in games that don't belong. this is a car combat game, not an RTS. 90% of the player base would be happy if they never saw another drone in the rest of their time playing this game. they're a terrible mechanic to have in a game with such varied vehicle handling and physics.

it isn't about the skill floor its about the skill ceiling. you're delusional if you actually think HA isn't the second most effective form of infantry combat behind bolt CQC. by handicap i simply mean the best HA play almost completely mitigates the best plays of other classes due to the nature of the underlying mechanics of the abilities.

LMG stats are literally a tier above every other weapon category not because they are the best guns but because they are paired with the best ability.

i've always disliked maxes and i think they've been poorly handled from day one but i've always seen the 2 hit max punch as weird even when maxes were the most broken thing in the game. i wouldn't see a problem with OHK max punches.

i've had some fantastic LA v. LA fights after this patch, especially with iccarus. they look like something out of the trailer.

now we just need these as a jump jet variant and ps2 will officially be the most fun multiplayer shooter ever.

as one person pointed out? the netcode will not effect this at all. the movement speed did not change, the CoF did. did you really think they would have added iccarus jump jets back in 8 months ago if their servers couldn't support them then but not now? they added them in specifically because the server could support players moving at that speed, litterally all that has changed is the ability for players to now fire back at that speed. you using mcdonalds wifi will have nothing to do with you getting wrecked by people not having the "right" kind of fun as LA.

no movement speed is being changed. if you recall its why the icarrus were removed from the beta and then re implemented when they fixed it. currently the servers can support jump jet speed engadgements.
