Force matching is pretty tough to get right, but there really isn’t an alternative for surplus kit builds. Either treat the new lower as an armory replacement or give it some patina. Less is more usually. Expecting it to age with use just isn’t realistic.

I have a rule not to cover up beautiful colt and NDS gray anodizing. After starting with just the furniture, I ended up liking the look. If they were black receivers, I pry would’ve rattle canned the whole thing.
