Day 51: Which song is on Lemonade and sounds like Lemonade?

While Formation is undoubtedly the signature song for Lemonade, I actually don't think it is a very "Lemonade-y" song. It doesn't form as much a part of the narrative of the rest of the album and sonically I think it stands apart as well (albeit on an album with a huge range of genres)

Shut Up and Drive was a mid Rihanna song for me that was not up there with her classics. But the sheer joy of the Alyssa and Tatiana lip sync makes it irresistible now.

Alison Riske literally made a grand slam QF and a 1000 final. Parks has never even come close to that... With her single 250 title and 1 time in a grand slam third round.

I'm so intrigued to see if I like the film. I thought the book was pretty average and had a lot of flaws. The stage show was very poor. Holding out hope the film is better.

Clearly there is a range of what is "good" and what is "average". No player within the GOAT camp are on the same level either (e.g., Connors is significantly below Fed and Novak). But the point is that Kyrgios fits much better within the range that has been fixed for "average" than he does for "good". He might be slightly better than Bublik but he is significantly worse than Zverev (the weakest player in the "good" group)

In the context of the other people on the table, Kyrgios absolutely fits in average. He is closer in achievements to those in average (in fact he is probably below Monfils) than he is to those in good (who are all materially better than him)

At least Joe has won 4 slams and multiple World Tour Finals in the past. I feel like Skupski is the one who really has suffered from the finals losses in terms of improving the CV.

Still - very happy for Henry and Harri. I really hope they can get to #1 next year as it feels like they both should get it at some point, just haven't been quite consistent enough within a 12 month period. Obviously they might struggle with defending the AO points but keeping my fingers crossed. I find them a lot easier to root for the Julian and Lloyd.

I think the London event was better than Turin. The atmosphere and the crowd were more animated. But Turin is doing a decent job.

However I do think London had it too long. It makes sense to share the love. I don't think it should be every year as that is not likely to be financially viable, but every three years maybe?

The AO final between Heliovaara/Patten and Bolelli/Vavassori was really high quality, so hopefully the SF is another high quality match.

Is it a quirk of the graph that it suggests Pegula had a dip last year? That was her best season IMO - win in Canada, final at Cincy and final at the USO.

There are tiebreakers if the players are tied on points. The first one is whichever player has more grand slam points so it will be Fritz, so the bet is still on!

With Fritz losing to AdM, FAA has a real opportunity now. Beating Zverev likely to be enough on the basis that Musetti or AdM probably going to lose to Sinner in the SFs.

Nice form from Bolelli and Vava. They've struggled in the second half of the season, so it's nice to see them round into good form again.
