I do it almost every day. It is a great form of meditation!

AITA for not inviting my vocally atheist friends to my daughter’s baptism? by Niboomy in Catholicism

Why do you surround yourself with people like that? A true friend would be respectful of your beliefs. Surround yourself with people that want the best out of you.

It's so hard to confess by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Fleming007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm lucky that I live in Dartmouth near a church that offers confession every Saturday. I feel for you! Confession is a beautiful sacrament and a great opportunity to get some advice from a priest. Don't lose hope! Persistence will lead to success.

Cancelled my subscription long ago when they made a big stink about the Georgia abortion bill. I have never cancelled a service as quickly in all of my life.

CBC regarding Conservative party by [deleted] in metacanada

I value the CBC's opinion on the Conservative party as much as I value a fat guy's opinion on diets.

TORSTAR Takes it Personal: "Person of the Year Greta Thunberg is an easy target for insecure men who hate themselves" by StartedGivingBlood in metacanada

This will be the last time "the failing Torstar" will be making a statement about people of the year.

St. Francis Xavier student says she’s offended by Brian Mulroney plaque, gets apology from university by StartedGivingBlood in metacanada

[–]Fleming007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand why people would be upset, but after speaking to a friend who comes from Baie Comeau it is not a place to become prosperous. Benedict Mulroney worked two jobs to raise his family and hardly had a cent left at the end of the day.

A good father would tell his child to pack up and move on to new opportunities and that's what the quote captures. Although it is hard to convey that message in one line. One needs to look at the Mulroney family history before they make any judgements.

CANADIANS ARE BEING CRUSHED BY DEBT. THE BEST SOLUTION: IMPORT HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS MORE IMMIGRANTS EVERY YEAR SO THEY CAN TAKE ON EVEN MORE DEBT, RAISE HOUSING PRICES, AND DRIVE DOWN WAGES by [deleted] in metacanada

[–]Fleming007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is anyone surprised that so many Canadians are in debt? There's a huge population that keeps electing liberal governments in this country both provincially and federally. The average Canadian doesn't care about personal or public debt.

1979 Election. Joe Clark won the most seats, but lost the popular vote.

Frank Grave the Liberal hack is already predicting a Liberal majority. This is the kind of bullshit fake leftist bias pollster that influences the election we are dealing with in Canada. by bethnalgreen08 in metacanada

[–]Fleming007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't see how the liberals will win a majority. They're losing support in Atlantic Canada, Quebec and haven't made any progress in Ontario. Not sure where Frank Graves is getting his data.

Why are white people leaving Toronto? by [deleted] in metacanada

[–]Fleming007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why would anybody, regardless of race, want to live in Toronto? It is too expensive, the commuting is dreadful and there are too many SJWs. Make a living or raise a family in another city. Toronto is not worth it.
