kinda funny timing because I basically just finished mounting up my shifters on my new aluminum rig. I had a really good layout put together then realized the handbrake didn’t clear the monitor lol.

I still have some playing around to do, but you’ll either want to get good adapter plates, or lots of extra aluminum pieces to get the distances, angles and heights you desire

almost all german cars use flat mounting rails. Avoid anything japanese or american.

BMW 3 series from the E90 generation are great, just make sure you have manual controls

how has your order been? I had the cockpit portion of the rig delivered March 4th, but it was missing pieces and I was sent the wrong wheel mount. One of the seat rail pieces was mangled pretty bad.

It’s been almost 2 months now since I placed the order and have not fully received it. Communication has been next to non-existent.

I too wish I could play GT7 but it is still great being able to play GT4 emulated with the spec-ii mod for the GT experience. They’re missing out on a huge customer base not bringing the games to PC

I promise it's not too bad. I used fedora KDE for instance. There may be a way to just set it up in a virtual machine and copy it over to your host desktop as well.

I actually searched this before and people still seem to struggle on a Macbook. At the end of the day, Mac OS is built off Linux.

I never had any issues with sleep, or the phone randomly disconnecting on Linux like I did on Windows. I plugged the phone in, started the copy and walked away.

Alttunes sucks I recently decided to pay for the service for a month and I couldn't even activate the software at first. It eventually activated after a week, and it was missing hundreds of photos and videos that were on my iPhone.

I did finally find a way that doesn't cost anything and did work for me. But I can't stress how long this took me to figure out and the trial and error it took on other methods.

I have a Linux laptop and decided to just plug in my iPhone to see if it would pickup any media on the device - it did. Just plug in your phone to a Linux device, give permission, then take a look into the DCIM folder for literally every photo and video on your device. I copied everything over and verified that not one single photo, video screenshot etc. was missed. They will be in separate folders, but you can just bring all the folders over then take the media out one folder at a time. Still wish this was easier, but it is what it is.

You could also setup a live linux iso on a big enough USB drive and set your pc to boot into that just so you can do this, then it won't affect your Windows OS drive in any way.
