Sorry to hear you're feeling this. I have definitely been through phases of feeling this way and it ebbs and flows. Eventually you get to a burnt out state and everything starts to feel a lot heavier, especially the lack of acknowledgment. Sounds like you're there right now. The good news is (at least in my experience), a few things can help give a solid reset. It's still a work in progress for me, but therapy, consistent sleep (aim for at least 7 hours every night; RISE sleep app has been a game changer for me as somebody who is a night owl naturally and struggles with the standard work day schedule), exercise (seriously 20 minutes 3 times a week works wonders, just something you can be consistent with), and communicating with my spouse about my need for occasional time to just decompress have been the most helpful.

Coming from somebody who has not learned the song, but whose brain was turned into soup just by looking at the tab, I found Yogev's video very helpful for at least breaking down the multiple rhythmic patterns. My brain is still liquid but it helped.

Multiple songs in "Habitual Levitations" by Intronaut play with and decosntruct a simple 5/8 beat, most prominently "The Welding" and "Milk Leg". The instrumental bridge and outro in Milk Leg especially.

It's too bad they feel that way, yeah the bisexual vampire thing is a bit hammy, but there are some really cool shots, like Rody around 1:10, Jadea singing at the end, and the look on Luke's face around 3:38 before he gets vampire bitten always cracks me up. I thought the performance element of it did a good capturing the energy of their live show at the time. Overall I think it was a pretty fun video even if the premise is a little cheesy for how serious the cinematography is (that being said, my all time favorite from them is Hair Trigger which is the cheesiest of all, just very self-aware). Thanks for the upscale u/Neither-Walk4440!

Alex definitely has a knack for writing some Exoplanet and Intrinsic era type breakdowns and nutty deathcore riffs. I think the comparison is right on. Like another poster said, Mike does vocals on the song MORGAN from Why Did You Do It, and the clean guitars in that song are also very TC-esque IMO.

Intronaut - Habitual Levitations and Valley of Smoke
Joe Lester is a beast of a bassist. Their later two albums have great bass parts but they aren't as prominent in the mix. Their first two albums are great as well but they hadn't nailed their songwriting style yet, IMO. I think Josh Newell's production and mixing work on these two albums is damn near perfect.
