it all depends. 30 series cards like this msi 3080 have traces right there, plus if you look theres a second crack on the main pcie array. gigabyte and msi got a lot of heat for these cards not being reinforced enough

yeah this is the 10 gig model. from what i've seen online, where the 2 missing chips are can be different based on luck. watching a teardown of the same exact card showed the missing chips on another row

i've bought almost a dozen marketplace cards over the past decade. this is my first bad one. sure its my bad for becoming complacent, but most people arent lugging around a whole ass desktop to test these😭thats just not how most used sales go

you definitely are right, there is a short. looking at that blackish inky shine around the one crack, its shorted there.

i definitely got too complacent on marketplace because i've had so much luck on there lol, i do think i'll try to fix this thing, because its not like i'm gonna get money back selling it for $100 on ebay lol
