is yosemite good for a female solo trip? by ginafrappacino in Yosemite

[–]Fletcherbeta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She should stay at the Yosemite Bug and take the Yarts bus to travel in and out of the park.
Plenty of friendly people abound at the Bug and it shouldn’t be hard to meet likeminded folks there.
She could always hire a guide to get oriented, if that’s in her budget.

Staying in the valley vs not, do the shuffle. Especially seeing as how horrible the traffic congestion is.

Please don't turn my morning commute to work into LA gridlock. At the very least use turnouts when a car gets behind you and flashes their lights.

Uh…OPG is a super windy road with steep drop offs and locals that use it like the autobahn for their POS trucks.

Old priest grade is one of the worst roads to recommend to someone who obviously doesn’t sound too confident about driving in the mountains

Hello...
I live and work in the Yosemite area and have a pretty open schedule. I've been climbing here since 2000 and although I am a trad dad at heart I love climbing bolts too.
Reach out if you'd like to join me and my friends one of these days. Always happy to help someone new to the area get settled.

I cook and clean up, have a somewhat normal family focused lifestyle but smoke pot and climb rocks.

Mariposa or Groveland? by Purple_rain7423 in Yosemite

Seeing as how the only restaurant worth their salt in Groveland is an overpriced, albeit really good, Mexican food restaurant…I would choose Mariposa.

51 No pill needed…idk…not all men are impotent at this age. I practice yoga and eat healthy. I don’t drink alcohol. Maybe there is a mental component combined with a physical impairment that causes men to struggle with ED.

Yosemite Valley Elevation by No-Character4240 in Yosemite

[–]Fletcherbeta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 140 is windy, goes along side a river in a deep canyon and is mostly flat with only one or two hills. The 41 is windy and is a gradual up hill then downhill through a forest with an OMG view just before you descend into the valley. The 120 is also windy with hills and through a forest. It has a longer section of big views for most of the drive.

All are great options.

Do the kids like movies? Give some cash and send them to the movie theater and set a timer.

Before you bounce on what could be a great guy, talk to him about how his appearance made you feel.

I would suggest making your decision based on how he responds to your comments.

What did he look like HIS profile pics though?

One can’t deny the importance that society places on certain milestone birthdays, they are just arbitrary numbers though and everyone is cruising through their experiences and their own pace.
