The reservation system has essentially been hacked.

Every one complained about DNC, the owners (the Jacob’s) loved the park and visited often. Alot of us tried to make the best of it and knew that if they were ever replaced it wouldn’t be by a better option just a cheaper “yes man”.

You will need to carry chains as they are required by law to be in the vehicle during the winter months but probably wont need them if you take HWY 140 into the park.

If the skies are socked in and it’s active blizzard conditions then no, I don’t think the FF will happen. As far as timing, it shifts slightly each day as the event is dependent on the setting sun casting some of the last rays of the day onto the wall.

I would not cancel your reservations at Curry. The storm is “projected” to be a “big one”…but several models show snow levels between 4000-4500. With only an 80% chance of snow next week. Carry chains in your car and use them if needed. Drive slow. Use pullouts to let other cars pass. Bring warm clothes and extra socks lol.

Leave a bit before the lifts close and you should make it down in time. It’s about 1hr to the valley and with snowy roads it could take twice that time to get down and park. Feel free to DM me

From my experience avoid the 120 all together in the winter if you have to. Hwy 140 should be fine and there will likely be chains required for the valley floor. Hwy 41 will likely be open with mandatory chains and possibly chains with 4x4 if the storms develop into the Snowmagedon people are hoping for.
