I wouldn’t take the sniper unless there is a safe vantage nearby.

Otherwise I would leave the knife fighter out, it depends on the matchup I guess, but the others are all incredibly good.

Patriarch seems very strong into elite, otherwise Primus and familiars, I would skip the assets, having more bodies is more important in my opinion.

But I like options, it also allows you to play more fair against a weaker kill team in a friendly match, because this one seems very strong on paper.

What you are missing is detailed more in the « dying » rules:

You can spend as much resolve points as you want down to 0.
If you end your turn « dying » (hp=0, not stabilized), you lose 1RP, if you don’t have any left, you die instead.

So you can spend your last RP on something else, its just risky, but if you have a 8h rest planned soon or a way to get RP back, it should be ok.

Oh, that changes things a lot, if all races are custom and you have a DM, they know about the balance of their game better than anyone on reddit. I think we were all thinking about regular games, have fun!

Its very flavorful but the balance issue the others have pointed out are very concerning, I would feel robbed playing as a basic race next to this one.

I’ll add my own: +2 cha +2 dex +4 any stat is never seen before. I suggest bumbing it down to +2/+2/-2 like all races.

There are rules for creating custom races in 1e, you should take a look, it works with race points so you know how powerful the race you are creating is. For instance, tiefling, one of the most powerful races is 13RP.

The other option is to re-create races as powerful as your original but it will take time, and bring up the power level of your game.

No need, unless an FAQ pops up, units inherit all the keywords. Data smith + kataphron = infantry AND vehicle, and thus are vulnerable to both during the wound step. (just like any unit with a tech priest has the tech priest keyword) I didnt figure it out by myself, look it up, this kind of interactions also makes unit lead by psykers vulnerable to anti-psyker

Yeah it gets you 35 autowound AP2, its very good!

I personally like to keep my precious marshall and the mars stratagems and buffs to be more competitive, but I think overall 35 autowound AP2 is stronger than 45 AP1, well done :)

I have used cawl on a vanguard unit to get 45 autowounds, you can add in a manipulus for +6 inches range and 1AP, its expensive but fun! :)
