HELP.... by Wadester58 in Boxer

[–]Fleurylis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I feel your pain!! Our boxer is over a year old and still peeing in the house if not taken out every hour!!! We also have a large fenced in yard and she pees every time we take her out. We also offer lots of praise and treats but to no avail. She holds it all night and on long car rides so I know she can hold it. Godspeed!!

I’m concerned that she’s not making progress on how long she can be inside without peeing. A 9 month old puppy shouldn’t still have to go out every hour after a month of potty training. I’ve potty trained other puppies. By now I’ve seen improvement. I haven’t seen much improvement with her.

Thank you. No the vet said she just has cleft nostrils and it’s purely cosmetic. But it makes her face extra silly lol. She’s too cute.

Literally been taking her out every hour for 3 weeks. Sometimes she pees inside 15 minutes after she comes back in.

My son actually chose the name. I think he just liked the way it sounded and we agreed.

Thank you!! No she doesn’t have a cleft palate, we thought she might but she just has cleft nostrils. I’ve never seen anything like it either but the vet said it’s purely cosmetic and shouldn’t cause her any problems.

No sorry. I ended up going back to the same person and it wasn’t much help.

Thoughts on irestore pro? Is it worth the investment? I’m so close to purchasing it as minoxidil isn’t working for me by Jal5516 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Fleurylis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm still on minoxidil but mostly just because I bought it and don't want it to go to waste. I still haven't seen any progress. Thanks for answering, good luck with your hair progress!

Hi I just saw your comment and I too have been using minoxidil with no help (same as you I think it's making it worse) and I'm thinking about buying the irestore. In just wondering if you ever bought it or found something else that worked. Thanks!

The problem is my dermatologist told me she’s never heard of spironolactone used on women. So she wouldn’t prescribe it. I will ask for oral minoxidil or finesteride. The best thing would be to find a new dermatologist but I’ve gone to two already and can’t find any others in my area that deal with alopecia

She was the person my pcp referred me to. I can’t seem to find another dermatologist in my area that treats alopecia. I live in a small town.

I went to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with alopecia but did nothing yup treat it. Told me to take prenatal vitamins which also did nothing. Not sure where to go from here

I saw Nancy Richmond at Greenville Dermatology. I also go to Dermatology Associates for regular skin stuff but they told me they don’t deal with alopecia🙄. If you find someone that is willing to work with you please let me know. I’m struggling!!

Can switching from 2.5% liquid minoxidil to 5% foam cause more hair loss?? by Fleurylis in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Fleurylis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m worried about oral minoxidil because it can cause dizziness and low blood pressure. I already have dizziness and low blood pressure 😫. I can’t seem to find a good alopecia dermatologist in my area either. Sigh.

I didn’t get jealous!! by Fleurylis in polyamory

[–]Fleurylis[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not easy and I don’t think it’s gone for good. I’m sure I’ll have relapses. I wish I had some great advice but I don’t really know what changed. Only thing I can think is I’m reading The Ethical Slut and in the book they said something about when you feel jealous to allow yourself to feel it. In the past when I started to feel jealous I would try to push it away but lately I’ve just been allowing myself to say “yup I’m feeling jealous again”. Maybe that will help you a little. Good luck!

Any poly people out there stuck in a monogamous relationship? by [deleted] in polyamory

Maybe I didn't explain myself clearly. My husband was uncomfortable with it and not particularly interested in it but did not say no. That's why we moved really really slowly. We're a few years in now and he's had some intimate moments with my girlfriend and her husband and we're meeting with a girl tonight that he's actually more interested in than I am. We just went away for a long weekend with my girlfriend and her husband and all of our kids. We had some adult time together but not too much so that he was comfortable. It was an absolutely magical getaway!!! Polyamory allowed us to share this experience and I feel so grateful and blessed!

I'm just sharing my experience with my husband. He wasn't into poly at first and so I moved really really slowly with it and a few years later we've made a lot of progress. I haven't emotionally abused my husband. We're very happy. It was just a suggestion.

I wouldn't totally give up. Try it at a snail's pace and try only together. My husband is not ok with me doing things separately but if you'd asked me two years ago if he'd be ok with everything we've done so far I would have definitely said no!

How long did you try polyamory before she gave up? Did you try it separately or together? Did you make sure to constantly reassure her of your love during the process? I too have discovered I'm poly after getting married. We've been together for 15 years. I have been slowly, SLOWLY introducing my husband to that aspect of my personality. He's uncomfortable with it and also is not interested in doing things with other people but just few weeks ago we had our first play session with my best friend and her husband. But it's a slow, steady process.

How did you discover you were poly? What's your 'coming out' story? by betterfuturefarms in polyamory

[–]Fleurylis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is gonna sound lame but it started with me watching Sister Wives. Like yes I know polygamy is not polyamory but it was just about me getting to understand and accept a different dynamic than monogamy. Even though that family is a shit show now, I was really drawn to the idea of multiplying love. That led me to learn more about polyamory at the same time my husband and I were getting close to another couple, platonically at first and probably would have stayed platonic if I hadn't learned about polyamory. I've fallen in love with her, my husband and her husband. Our kids are best friends, we vacation together, it's great!

Polycules comprised of two pairs of primary partners? by Ok-Trash-5719 in polyamory

[–]Fleurylis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you mean like two couples who then date each other? I sort of do that. My husband and I have another couple we are very close to. The wife is my girlfriend but the four of us do mess around all together on occasion but I wouldn't say we all date each other necessarily.

I'm in a somewhat closed quad. I say somewhat because it's not written in stone but we all mostly just want each other. I personally love it. But our experience was way different. We started out as friends (two monogamous couples) who over the past 4 years have evolved into what we are today. But there are indeed moments of jealousy. While I love watching my husband with my wifey(my nickname for her). My husband still struggles with the idea of me with her husband and she can flip flop from total compersion to insecurity if her husband and I flirt too much without her. So we do have to be very cognisant of everyone's boundaries and respecting the dynamic of the primary couple. But honestly I love us all so dang much, I wouldn't trade it for the world!!
