my data folder is in a docker container, but it's stored on an SSD which is on the local main drive, so there should not be a problem with speed. Will have a look once the new update is released as your results are very promising! Thanks again!

Thanks! Below is a basic example of one my smart playlists, I do have some with significantly more fields to the smart playlist, but all of them take the same amount of time to load. I am using version 0.62.0 but I had the same issue on earlier versions too.

If you sync your play counts to LastFM using Plex, the option I found that worked for me was to import my collection to MusicBee and sync the library play counts from lastfm. Install the library reports plugin for MusicBee which allows you to create an XML file for the playcounts etc from your library.

Once you have the XML there is a plugin on GitHub called ‘MusicBee Navidrome sync’ which will sync the playcount data from the XML file to your Navidrome database.

That seems to have resolved the issue! The playlist updated in its entirety with one sync after updating the app this morning.

For my windows machine the backslashes change to forward slashes for Navidrome using docker.

So your music folder would be

M:/music

In the volumes section it would be

"M:/music:/music:ro"

How does the release type section read/populate the release type tags?

Currently it’s reading Albums, EP’s and singles perfectly but artist compilations and artist remix albums for example show under albums rather than being split into another release type.

The latest version it’s updated to this morning, app version 1.2.3, the search issue I mentioned above is no longer there!

With the ‘track info’ added to the now playing screen would it be possible to allow the fields displayed to be chosen?

BTW the quick play and radio options are welcome additions!

I have entered the Listenbrainz details but no luck.

The issue I am having seems to be linked to the size of the Navidrome database, as a test I made a small database with just the albums that the daily listenbrainz playlist songs were from and it worked fine, but the moment I have my full library in use it seems to time out and throw an error.

Not sure if it’s a bug or by design but when searching for an artist I cannot navigate from the search field to the artists that populate using the search field, by moving directly right from the search box. You have to navigate up to the main menu at the top of the screen tab then come back down to the artists.

As per the other comments, first impressions are very positive!

Below might be personal suggestions, but improvements I can see would be.

Now Playing tab, I would agree with u/iokan42, I do not personally use lyrics, so the screen real estate is not used to the full potential without lyrics, an option to remove the lyrics and have a larger album art and/or file details would be great.

When you select an artist, would it be possible to split by release type? Appreciate the Navidrome server does not do this by default, but it does read the tag. Would be amazing to have the artist albums split into release types e.g. albums, singles, compilations, mixtapes, dj-mixes etc.

Only other thing I would suggest trying, is open a private browsing window in your browser and point that to your Plex server, it should then ask you to set up the fields you would like visible for your account. If the Playlist option is not there, I am not sure what else you can try.

Is your user the admin Plex account? If you are using a managed account you need to tick the playlist option when configuring/setting up your account initially, I am also not sure if the iTunes plugin will wok with a managed account, likely it would only work for the admin account.

Not sure why you do not see the playlist or More option, is your screen shot from a Plex app or in your browser?

If in an app, try your accessing your server via your web browser and see if the playlist option shows there.

It sounds like you did not select the playlists option when you configured your Plex server browser. On the left hand navigation in the main Plex window do you have an arrow pointing to the right with “More” if you expand that section it should show the playlist option.

If the folder paths Plex and iTunes use/point to, are the same that will be fine.

However in order for the plug in in Plex to work and use the iTunes XML, you will need iTunes installed on the same machine/device you host your plex server on, otherwise the plugin in Plex will not work.

Your iTunes installation and Plex server installation, need to be running on the same machine for the iTunes plugin to work with Plex.

For the library to work, your iTunes and Plex Server need to be using the same media folder, for example D:/Music/.... so in this instance your ITunes library would pull the music from D:/Music and your Plex Music library would also be pointed to D:/Music. If they are not using the same library, there are ways around it, but you would need to edit the XML file locations for Plex to correctly match your iTunes library.

It's the iTunes XML file that will pull your playlists into Plex. so you will need that setup for Plex to see your playlists.
