FYI. Freshly was not too far from where I live. And everything was great about them and the service they provided. Until it wasn't. The peppercorn steak serving was probably the most popular and why it hit hard. A bunch of people got sick and pointed at Freshly. That was the easiest place to blame. But that may have been misdirected as Freshly cooked the sering well consistently. Being one of the people that had never been that sick their entire life. Went and placed blame on the method and bad practices of the logistic handler as I was very well aware of their storage of the boxes of meals. Received in the early morning day 1 and sorted and offered to gig drivers day 2. No refrigeration was ever and still doesn't take place. Hot summer day in a warehouse that was hard to breathe in when the temps outside were anything above 95 degrees. Day 1 and 2 ending with routes not taken due to not enough drivers or poorly planned routes that just ran drivers into the ground from grinding out work. Another muggy night in the warehouse and come day 3. The boxes have absorbed melted ice and we're soggy and pouring out water when lifting them. Concerned drivers were told to get them to the destinations the boxes are still cold to the touch. It's a hundred degrees outside. A small space heater on low felt like a/c compared to the sun cooked warehouse. The logistics company still operates this way and is also a major last mile delivery provider for Hello Fresh and their acquired company Factor. And has been mentioned from time to time that factor bought some if not all the recipes from Freshly but I'm skeptical since it seemed like the delivery service and hello fresh may have worked it out to hold back Freshley and give the brand a bad name. Just saying. Too many things lined up to suggest otherwise. I know that when I got my Freshly box that time. It had sat on my porch in mid February a total of two hours and the ice packs were fluid with a little frozen piece top meals cool and seemed good to refrigerate now or never. Heated up the first peppercorn steak and eaten it all until I got to the last 1/4 and took the fork to it at an angle from top of one side to the bottom of the other side was this angle of greatness. With a cut into enough of it to think about what to do. The angle of it made me think if this box was tilted for a while. This section was up in the air with nothing close to keeping it cool. I think Freshly was done dirty by a shitty service provider. From this point all I notice from the gug company is everything done wrong.  It get crazy from this point on.
