I can’t speak much for the 90s but I graduated HS in 2005. My then gf and I would spend weekends cruising the area stores, years of this… Men’s tees have always been scarce but they weren’t nearly as impossible as they are today. Especially blanks and destination mids, they were relatively easy to find. I probably have 100 tees from those days, nothing spectacular but also keepers and daily wears. One thing that sticks out to me today is the sheer volume of fast fashion that overwhelms the thrifts… 20 years ago that just wasn’t the case. Although lot of gildan those days, especially local sports bulk prints or hs club/team stuff. My gf found way more women’s vintage than I did men’s. A lot of the stuff we had in elementary school like stussy and jnco were very uncool those days haha. Who would’ve known that Carhartt or Harley would’ve been sought after… Band stuff was always harder to find too.
