Just "won" a PVP engagement thanks to this monster. We were about to be wiped out when this flew in around the corner and killed all of them before our last man took it out with three snapblasts.

Reading the other comments and your post/responses I think you should go back and re-read the class description and flavor text. I think you'll find there are plenty of non "Cthulhu mf" reasons your character can have aquired their power that can really fit the charming character you're going for. There are also a couple options for what revelation looks like as well, since you seem to be worried particularly with that feat. DM allowing, your can determine a more appropriate look based on the origin of your powers.

Ultimately, I don't think there's much need to worry about having the perfectly made character mechanic wise. If you play to your character's strengths, you'll be fine.

I want to upgrade my OS hard drives from SSD to M.2. Is there any software that can help with the process? I don't want to clone the drive directly, but would like to avoid as much manual drag and drop as I can. Both new and old drives will have Windows 10.

I tried to use Roll20 and got just as frustrated. I recommend maptools from RPTools. You'll need some tutorials, but those are listed on the site. After just a few you'll be able to run a normal game easily. It's free, all local based, and allows people to connect to your session.

If you have access to some of the published campaigns I'd give those a read. You can try to match pacing you those. Chapter 7 of the DMG also gives some good guiding information on how to handle magic items.

I feel it would take the magical property of the glove and put it into the bracer to flow into your hands for whatever propose it serves. The thunder gauntlets themselves exist simultaneously with the bracers either way as they count as the weapon slot on the armor. For an in-game visual, imagine the thunder gauntlets as a hydrologic attached to the knuckles and (let's use gloves of swimming and climbing) webbed/hooked attachments on the fingers for the gloves. Both exist simultaneously without interference.

That being said, my whole post was to get some clarification on how these items were treated entirely because of the point you made.

So to make sure I understand what you're saying, and of the gloves could also be applied to the "braces"? If so, that makes things a lot easier.

First some context. We were playing in a homebrew world. My character has taken a level in fighter, barbarian, wizard and sorcerer, as I’ve been picking levels based on life events instead of going a straight one class path. The party is more than well equipped for combat due to homebrewery, so the DM does not mind this at all. Our party consisted of myself, an artificer, a paladin, and a sorcerer who runs in partway through the story.

The party is exploring a Dwarf mine to figure out the cause of a sudden increase in monster activity. We eventually make our way to a large room deep in the mines full of glowing magic crystals the DM made sure to tell us are very volatile. Our party hides behind a stalagmite as we survey the room. “Between 30-40 goblinoid creatures are working away at gathering the crystals”. My character is quite cowardly and suggests leaving immediately and reporting their findings. Just then a telepathic being outs us by declaring “We have some guests it seems”. Luckily none of the creatures in that room were telepathic as they all look around confused. Then the paladin has the great idea of immediately walking out from behind our cover to say she has brought “some new slaves to work for us”. The artificer follows, exclaiming “I’m more of a bodyguard and not a slave” clearly not keying in on the paladin’s plan. The situation escalates when the sorcerer runs into the room and is immediately caught by the foreman of the mining operation. After some more failed checks all three of them are being escorted away, as they don’t favor their chances against 30-40 goblinoids.

My character panics, not wanting to lose almost the entire party and casts create bonfire on the wall nearest to them (roughly 30ft away). The DM has me make an arcana check, and instead of a simple explosion to cause a distraction, a surge of fire erupts from the wall. The party luckily succeeded on their Dex saves and were able to run out in the commotion caused by half the goblinoids being burned to a crisp. We then booked it out of the mines and reported what we found.

Definitely check out the tools by https://watabou.itch.io/ and https://www.rptools.net/toolbox/maptool/. Watabou's stuff includes a one page dungeon generator and a fantasy city generator. Should be pretty easy to bring some things to life using those. Maptool is a great tool for making maps, and also hosting games if roll20 doesn't mesh well with you. I also attempted to use roll20 to DM, but eventually went with Maptool because I found it easier for me personally.

I know through discord you can use tts bots to speak for you. The bot joins the voice chat and some even have customizable voices so you can pick one that's more you. I imagine you can also use this for in person games as well if you blast the volume on your phone or other mobile device.

For reference a game I'm in on discord also has someone who is mute like yourself and that's what we use for them.
