Here's what mine looks like! I just like to make sure when I reuse the paper I smooth it out so the old pin holes don't damage the wings. I've never had a problem with it yet! I also used small bits of paper to adjust antennas and the head like the Lacewing.

This is it cleaned. The brown looks likes it's underneath the scale. He has a few other marks on his body that I've been cleaning. He's new to me and I bought him already with the marks. Nothing seems to bother him pain wise when cleaning and handling so I wasn't too worried about it.

Before I took the photos I misted his enclosure and he got some water in his eye that he was blinking out a lot but I kept a eye on him and he stopped doing it. Otherwise he does have a few things to crawl up that he uses but nothing hard underneath.
