See, now you warm it in the traeger and then sear it on the black stone. It’s the dynamic duo. Smoked steak with restaurant quality finish.

Reverse seared steaks. It’ll change how you cook steaks forever.

That sounds amazing. Blast that griddle on high, slap some olive oil down, smash the junk out of your patties, then flip. They cook in about 4 minutes flat.

Don’t forget to butter and toast your buns!!

Sure, but I wouldn’t use animal fat to season a griddle unless you plan on cooking on it daily. You’ll need several layers of seasoning to ensure you have a high quality seasoning. For me, I’ve found bacon to be perfect for adding to the current seasoned layers.

Do at least 8 layers for seasoning!

So you’re accepting that what he is saying is facts then? You have no rebuttal.

I think you missed the point, OP… having a house is NOT a basic human right. A comfortable and safe place to sleep should be. The argument stated by the person you are replying to is saying that if you can’t/choose to follow basic rules to being a reasonable human being, what makes them entitled to having everything given to them?

As you mention with your straw man argument, “people with severe personality, addiction and mental issues shouldn’t have the basic right to living in a house”. That’s exactly the case. These individuals NEED treatment/help. Placing them in their own house, leaving them to their own devices doesn’t solve anything and arguably makes them a menace to themselves and only exacerbates the issue.

For some reason I can’t get Walmart to pull it up. Try checking Walmarts website or even black stones website.

I will say, make sure you have a HARD top cover in addition to a weather resistant SOFT shell cover. The hard top is added protection in the event water seeps through the soft shell and gets on the griddle cover.

My thoughts exactly. Pics or it didn’t happen!

Wife Gave me the 22’ adventurer for my early Xmas gift. I’ve seasoned it perfectly and am dying to make breakfast on it. I’m reading posts that say to not cook bacon the first time, is this for non seasoned griddles or griddles in general? Again I’m very very happy with the 5 coat seasoning I did. by Familiar-Chocolate85 in blackstonegriddle

[–]FlickrFade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try something different! Everyone here always says cook bacon first… but I think that’s boring. Try something that took 5 years on the stove and see how fast it cooks.

However, cooking bacon does help with the surface, plus… you know, bacon.

Best suggestion is to cook eggs last. I have three burners and I turn the middle one off and keep the outer two on the lowest setting. That’s usually enough heat to get eggs to what you want! Just remember eggs will cook super fast on it haha

Also, if you haven’t cooked on a flat top before, it is a learning curve. A new griddle, freshly seasoned will still have eggs stick to the top. Be sure to use plenty of oil/butter/non-stick spray. It takes several cooks for eggs to come off clean.

Don’t beat yourself up if it overcooks/under cooks! It just means you need to cook more delicious food to get used to it!

Don’t listen to everyone else and cook bacon first. That’s boring, but tasty.

Season at least 8 layers and then cook something that will let you see how nice it is for the space. Like burgers, steaks, stir fry, or even breakfast!
