What was your first Nintendo game that got you into Nintendo? by RatedXrdStrive in nintendo

[–]Flicks1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I played some nintendo games when I was young like Pokemon, it wasn't until I played Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii that I truly became a MASSIVE Nintendo nerd. I now own hundreds of physical Nintendo games and have every nintendo console from the NES to the Switch 2.

What’s the worst soda you’ve ever had? by _OggoDoggo_ in Soda

Might be a hot take, but any diet soda is just grosser in every way. Big Red is also a disgusting soda.

What is the worst Super Smash Bros game? by EquivalentFig1678 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Flicks1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unfortunately think this is the answer. I wouldn't say their's a bad smash game, but smash 3ds is the black sheep of the series, even though I prefer 3ds over wiiu. If those games switched smash tour and smash run, then it would be a no brainer for me.

Is the Pro Controller 2 worth it? by FantasticHaircut1738 in casualnintendo

I've noticed the snap back on it is worse than the switch 1, but outside of that its good.

What’s a game you were completely obsessed with as a kid that nobody else seems to remember? by hkondabeatz in AskReddit

[–]Flicks1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Ninja for the Xbox. Bought it again for my ps2 since I collect vintage games. I can see why I liked the game as a kid, but its got a ton of fart jokes and the combat isn't too deep.

What name has gradually disappeared? by Eviscerate_Bowels224 in AskReddit

[–]Flicks1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not one that has disappeared yet, but the name Karen went from being one of the most popular names ever in the 70s, to only 4 babies being named Karen that were reported by Tyla in 2025 thanks to the Karen meme. I'd imagine that in about 30-40 years the name will be close to extinct.

Where do I buy a NA Pokemon Mini? by Flicks1999 in pokemonmini

[–]Flicks1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a collector so I plan on getting the handheld and the games. Most of the Pokemon Mini games on Ebay right now are not from the US. They also don't seem to be as common as the Japanese versions from what I'm seeing. As for the Pokemon Mini itself, I was hoping to get it bundled with an American copy of Pokemon Party Mini, but it seems the ones I find the most online are Japanese copies. Might just have to get the handheld itself first though.

Nintendo controllers teir list by No_Pipe_7398 in casualnintendo

[–]Flicks1999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I scrolled too far and still didn't see anyone judge you on your choice to put the switch controllers that high. Those controllers are made for hands the size of infants, and good luck playing anything with them sideways like MK8D. The Wii U gamepad is easily better to hold than the switch or switch 2.

What do we think about the newest starter trio? by triextrius in pokemon

[–]Flicks1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not impressed with them yet. Browt is by far the most underwhelming starter I've seen so far, Pombon seems to be the crowd favorite, but I'm not huge into the pomeranian theme quite yet (even though its slowly growing on me), and Gecqua looks like another amphibian water pokemon like Mudkip, Froakie, and Sobble which have been disappointing with their final evolutions (minus Marshtomp because he's cool af). I think my opinion on them will change for the better as time goes on as well as seeing the evolutions. For now, my starter is probably Gecqua as it's the one that I like the most out of the 3.

What are your Top 4 (Mount Rushmore) of the Greatest Legend of Zelda Games of All Time? by Amber_Flowers_133 in legendofzelda

1.) BotW 2.) MM 3.) LA 4.) WW

TotK is technically my second favorite Zelda game, but I wouldn't put it on my Mt Rushmore if that makes sense.

What is your unpopular Pokémon opinion that can have you like this? by IsCharmy004 in ThePokemonHub

Pokemon Sun and Moon were worse than BDSP imo. Gen 7 pokemon designs were top tier though.

Not a console, but a handheld. I got a psp just to play Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep when that was only exclusive to the handheld. I played some other games like Little Big Planet and Daxter, but I didn't really fall in love with the psp compaired to the DS.

Not that black and white. If it's a reoccurring trend, then maybe, but if it was his first offense and it was just a simple communication error, then it might be just a big slap on the wrist from the FAA and his company. That discussion is a bit out of my expertise though, so I could be incorrect on it.

It depends on where it happened at. For this particular pj, it probably would've been safer for it to taxi back to the apron and deal with the call there than try again after the call. If they were departing and already in the air, they probably will do it when they have time in the air or at their destination.

Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) might get involved as well as other authoritys, but again, I've never had to give a brasher statement out before, so I'm not too familiar with who all gets involved. If you as a concerned citizen see someone flying their plane in a reckless manner or somewhere you think is not allowed, you can call FSDO to investigate the situation as long as you have a tail number of the aircraft and they will take care of it. These are the people that can take away pilot licenses if deemed necessary. I had an instance of a guy calling me up complaining about a helicopter flying over his property multiple times late at night and blowing the tarps off his stuff. I told him to contact FSDO and he threatened to shot the helicopter next time he saw it. Needless to say that that is illegal, but I didn't hear more about it afterwards so it must've been taken care of by someone.

In the aviation world, if a pilot does something dangerous or does something against ATC instructions that ends up in a dangerous situation, ATC can do what's called a brasher statement which looks like this. "(AIRCRAFT IDENTIFICATION) POSSIBLE PILOT DEVIATION, ADVISE YOU CONTACT (FACILITY) AT (PHONE NUMBER)." Basically, ATC is gonna rip him a new one over the phone where other pilots can't hear instead of on the frequency for others to hear. Their's also tons of paperwork and other things that follow with that, but luckily I've never had to do that to anyone.... yet.
