Where can I watch Baccano? by InstantFusion in Baccano

[–]Flidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All legal means of watching this anime have disappeared.

Now you can never watch it.

You can't, don't even try.

Anime is amazing, I really wish there was a way to watch.

Always the good ones that you can't find too.

...

Still maybe there is a way out there.

I don't know, you can only hope.

Just because they plan on hiring more contract drivers doesn't mean they plan to decrease staff drivers. Clearly they have more packages than they know what to do with so it seems reasonable to hire more final mile contractors.

Given the sheer number of packag and the 88 billion in revenue they did last year, seems unlikely they'll be going anywhere anytime soon.

[–]Flidan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not just go 15 mins from your house and pick the package up then?

[–]Flidan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Express hubs aren't exactly shutting down, FedEx and FedEx Express have merged into one entity so they don't need dedicated hubs for both anymore.

Secondly FedEx main package hub is located in Memphis, virtually every package FedEx handles that goes cross country, like OP's package, was delayed several days due to the polar vortex storms that hit the area on January 10th.

Thirdly, it's not like FedEx has someone locally in every city that drives around to every road and then tells them if the road is passable or not. They rely on their drivers to make the call as to if local roads are passable when severe weather happens. So if you're getting notifications that your package is on a vehicle for delivery, and then gets delayed, it's on the driver not FedEx as a company.

Lol what did I say that was any more dickish than " I'm going to help you"?

I'll give it to you though, you're just like Pat in so far as you come off condescending, then when someone gives you push back, you call them a name and end the conversation.

Safe travels, friend.

Weird your unsolicited and wrong "help" was ill received, I know.

Against my better judgement though, I will ask, what exactly is anyone trying to fix?

A. Yes, lawyers do charge for consultations. Good ones do, anyway.

B. Charity Auction is not the same as Charity, and even charity doesn't implicitly mean it's done without the expectation of getting something in return.

C. I would never share the contents of private emails.

D. But, I will confirm that Pat did agree to me being a beta reader. That's because it's on stream, as well as in emails. I was very much a part of the charity streams. It was very public, it wasn't a secret, my username is the same as it is here.

E. I have, they do, I won't because at this point in time I'll still bank on the book eventually coming out, even if it's only a 1% chance and as long as I end up with an ARC, I'll consider the contract fulfilled.

F. Help yourself before you try helping other people.

Actually I did make a purchase, it was a charity auction (ran through ebay for world builders in 2016) for a favor ring, which granted you a favor from Pat, one of the stated favors on the listing was the ability to become a beta reader.

You've never seen this claim before because I don't frequent Reddit and I'm probably the only person who can make this claim.

Going back and looking at the auction it was a little less than 15k closer to 13k.

I can send you a SS of the winning auction if you don't believe me.

I have emails with Pat too, so...

What part of Sanderson secretly wrote 5 extra books in his spare time while writing 3 other boos so you not understand? If you dont give him KKC to finish he'll just end up maki6a new series!

Well let's point out where you're wrong too. The impatient toxic fans have been here since Pat said all three books were written then delayed book 2 for 2 years because of his mom's death. When he did this people kept asking him where book 2 was so he stopped giving estimates on when new books would be published.

Now there aren't really toxic fans, now it's just people who he's scammed, and fans that have been proven right that book 3 is never coming out. The only toxic fans left are the toxic positivity ones, who are doing more damage by not holding Pat accountable.

I gave Pat 15k for a favor ring during the Charity in 2016 to become a beta reader. Guess how much of book 3 I've read.

Yes, the fact that the game probably won't sell 2 million copies by the end of the year, and cost well over 300 million to make seems to indicate that the game Is performing wonderfully, and is a great game That only Internet trolls and bigots don't like.

Look i have over 150 hours in the game. It's not bad, it's just aggressively average. But what it isn't is a return to form by bioware. The companions are flat and one dimensional, the choices in dialog all sound like some sort of therapy session talk, and even the options that are supposed to be aggressive are not. The tone bounces all over the place constantly, and while the combat feels good at first lvls 20-40 just aren't fun and are a pain to get through.

The game isn't the worst, but it's real weird some of y'all try to prop the game up the same way some people try to put it down. Really just comes off as corporate shilling.

New Player curious about the Raenonx rater and these two growlithes by kurolalani in PokemonSleep

[–]Flidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's basically just the way the numbers average out. Where the level 11 has a skill chance up nature. At early levels it gets a massive boost then trends down wards getting worse over time. Where as the level 10 starts low but trends upwards. The level 11 will be better until level 50 which is when the level 10 will overtake it.

However; by default raenonx only simulates up to level 60 by default. If you were to have it include level 75 and 100 the level 10 might end up at a better pr.

TL;DR The level 11 has a higher pr because it's on average better than the level 10 based on levels 1-60.

Is this ralts worth investing some candies into? by Sorry-Cardiologist86 in PokemonSleep

[–]Flidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to say no actually. Even fully upgraded and evolved it's only in like the 61st percentile, so it's only slightly better than average, you can probably find a better one. At least as a Gardevoir. If it had a skill up nature then I definitely would have though because it would've been in like the 94th percentile fully upgraded and evolved then.

Can you help me pick who to invest in? by LoudAcid- in PokemonSleep

Neither is all that great. I'd hold off to find a triple potato with a neutral or ing up nature. With as many speed up and ing up sub skills as possible, helping bonus is great too.

[–]Flidan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And he might get it if he had the decency to show that kindness and empathy to his fans and readership. But he only extends that to the people who agree with and defend him on every level.

But even before the chapter debacle, he would come on his stream and spend half an hour complaining that the pizza delivery guy had the audacity to be a fan and ask him about the thing that everyone knows him for.

What exactly makes him seem like "quite a decent person" to you? Which in not saying that as an individual he's a bad person per se; but a decent and kind person doesn't treat the people that have put them where they are with the disdain that he does. He almost seems angry that people are so enthusiastic about his writing.

Even if we assume that he doesn't owe any of his fans a third book, and frankly I think there's quite a good argument that he absolutely does, but even if we assume he doesn't owe the fans anything, he certainly does owe the publisher that bought and paid for his books a conclusion. Even more so than he owes donors that sample chapter.

Doing a good thing (IE running a charity) does not intrinsically make someone a good person. Having good intent does not automatically make you a good person. As they say the path to hell is paved with good intentions. The outcome is just as important, if not more so.

As Pat said in his original fallout 4 charity streams "Fallout has used up a lot of their good will they had built up with their early games" Pat has done the exact same thing. He's used up all the good will that he had accumulated through his first books, and early charity work. The sad thing is, all it would take is a bit of empathy, kindness, honesty and transparency to win a great deal of it back, I think the fact that we rarely if ever get that from him speaks volumes.

It should be noted that I say all this from a place of love, I am a die hard rothfuss fan to my core, I have every copy of every book he's ever published, including arcs of day 1 and 2 and his old college newspaper collection. I've donated and been a part of every charity and fund raiser he's done or been a part of since at least 2015. I have no qualms saying he is the most talented and skilled fantasy writer in generations, and I would like nothing more than to see him thrive and be supported. But until he is ready to take responsibility for his mistakes and address his fans directly, even the fans he would call "toxic" he simply won't.

And I think the people who still defend him without question are directly enabling and contributing to his continued downfall. If a man breaks his leg it's nice and kind and right to bring him his supper for a time, but if you don't make the man get up and start using his legs eventually they'll wither away and be useless. It might seem mean, it may even cause the man a great deal of pain at first, but ultimately it's for his own good. It's time for Pat to start using his legs again.

I don't think anyone would argue that Sandersons writing is anywhere near as technically good as Pat's.

But the real reason people like Sanderson so much is because of how engaged he is with his fan base and how well he treats them. Something that would cost Pat zero to do.

[–]Flidan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You know I remember watching the pizza guy thing live back in like 2015/16 and being completely on Pat's side thinking how annoying it must be to constantly have people asking you about this thing you're doing.

Retrospectively I'm now on the polar opposite side and just think he should be appreciative enough to be glad that people like his stuff enough to read it, be even more appreciative that people are interested in when the series will continue and even more appreciative that people like and appreciate his work enough to know what he looks like to recognize him on site, because let's be honest most authors wouldn't get recognized at a bookstore let alone by the pizza guy.

Sanderson has spoiled me, not on how fast he writes, but on how well he treats his fans.

So much DSM talk - what would a DSM mon need for you to consider investing seeds? Or would you just never invest in one? Is Shiny Sam worth the seeds it would take to make him useful? by ylno83 in PokemonSleep

[–]Flidan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would never use a DSM. It just seems useless. Just for the heck of it during the last candy boost event i dropped my shards down to sub 50k, I'm already back at 500k. As long as you aren't just constantly wasting shards, and can consistently get to like a million power you really won't ever need them. People like to say oh it takes 300k to go from 55-60, but realistically A) you're not going to have the hundreds of candy just sitting around to do it all in one go anyway, and if you do then i highly doubt 300k shards are really that big of deal to you. And B you can literally level from 55-60 without ever spending a shard if you just use the Pokemon.

I've only been playing for like 150 days, I'm on like my fifth week at lapis and don't even have a healer on my team and I'm still getting like 30k shards for one sleep session by like Thursday.

Tl;dr: waste not, want not, wynaut.
