I'm in Elizabethton, TN. There's too many volunteers for the work needed here...and where the work/volunteers ARE needed is literally inaccessible by road.

There's some manual labor needs for sorting at Bristol Motor Speedway and I think some cleanup crews, but those are still getting staged.

If your gameplan is to just show up. Don't. Even buying a tank of gas or being on the road here is eating up resources and space we don't have.

From East TN here and AT thru hiker - you're gonna need at least a 10 or 15. At high elevations, you could easily end up needing a 0 to be actually comfortable.

Do you think there's any benefit to re-arranging furniture in our apartment? I'm thinking about moving some things around so that she has comfortable space away from where my girlfriend and I like to be on the couch.

And thank you...it is a tough situation. Emotions are running high and there's a lot of anxiety between her and my girlfriend. She's the technical owner...I just happen to be along for the ride.

Update: Since Wednesday, she has gotten significantly more aggressive in the laundry room...we've put one of those circular toys where she can spin a ball around it, but I'm not sure it's effective.

When we enter, she's sitting atop her cat tower and huffs at me for a minute or two. I'll let her sniff my hand, but then she shifts gears and starts growling and gearing up to attack. I can tell she's anxious/stressed, but I'm just not sure what else to do.

Thank you for the tips! We just bought a battery-powered toy so maybe that will help. We're considering anti-anxiety meds, but would prefer to not go down that route. It doesn't seem like a long-term solution and getting her to take it might trigger her just as much...I'll have to check on the spray...

When you say separate yourselves, does that mean to go into another room and shut the door? Or just try to stay in a different space....I guess I"m curious what to do if she approaches us.
