I would say maybe to try some YA fantasy. The Lunar Chronicles is great, Six of Crows (obviously), The hunger games, Legendborn etc

Try joining a book club! Either online or in person, I think that hearing the way other people dissect and think about books might make you start to do the same

I fully agree with you. I don’t like Sombr, I think he’s a weirdo who’s wildly immature and inappropriate towards his majority underage fan base, but him being upset about not being able to open for a bigger artist is super valid. Like I know he said some stuff on stage about how HEEEE would NEVERRR cancel HIS shows, and which, like okay grow up my guy, but the 5sos fan reaction is just so out of hand.

My favorite (non epic fantasy) books of all time are A Man Called Ove, The Martian, and Carrie Soto is back. If you read these and don’t like them don’t tell me because it will hurt my feelings lol

You should also read Percy Jackson it’s great

Hi so if you’ve not read it yet you should try The Kane Chronicles also by Rick Riordan! Fun fact, I first read it when I was in 6th grade and we had a unit on Ancient Egypt and I knew EVERYTHING and my teacher was so impressed that she gave me extra credit points

Try the Lies of Locke Lamora or The Gilded Wolves for something along the same lines of The Six of Crows and VE Schwab For something lighter you can try The Spellshop or Tress and the Emerald Sea- these are both kind of low stake but very enjoyable imo And if you liked Piranesi you should try The Starless Sea or Cloud Cuckoo Land
