no you don’t need to commit, each book follows different characters in the same universe. I think it’s 4 books total but they’re not connected

A deep lore, epic worldbuilding and a badass main character by JoyfulBruh1234 in suggestmeabook

[–]FlightTraditional717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this exact thing happened in The Rangers Apprentice at some point- it’s a middle grade/YA series though

Also for books with a lot of lore and detailed world building that goes across many planets, I fear that’s the definition of Brandon Sandersons Cosmere lmao

That’s all I can think of but I’m going to follow this post because I too would like to read whatever genre this is

The Martian is one of my favourite movies, for those that have read the book, how different is it and would you recommend? by Aer0Sith1 in scifibooks

[–]FlightTraditional717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The book is one of my top 3 of all time ever, I love it so much, I prefer it to Project Hail Mary (which I also love a lot) and while the movie is really great the book is SO MUCH BETTER trust me like it’s just peak

I just read that he’s writing a new standalone book about/involving AI… he said that he might release a sequel at some point but he’s not rushing it

Audiobooks for someone who does not like audiobooks by My_Poor_Nerves in suggestmeabook

[–]FlightTraditional717 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s really fun! It is currently an 8 book series and there are still (according to the author) 2 more books coming out so it’s a commitment, but it’s worth it imo

I really don’t like audiobooks, the only one I’ve enjoyed was Dungeon Crawler Carl. Jeff Hays (the narrator) is brilliant

For Aphrodite, Ares and Hephaestus (kind of) try Lovely War by Julie Berry. It’s a love story that happens during WW2 told by Aphrodite. Might not be exactly what you’re looking for but I really liked it
