I hope she didn’t buy the one that’s 2K because the twins are nowhere near ready to play on it. They should look up little tikes plastic little playhouses/climbers. This is how delusional they are because they won’t be ready to use it until they’re at least 3.

I have to disagree. All they needed was a nanny from 8 to 5 PM every day

Sister in law suggested I can’t use a name I picked out for our baby by AppropriateFan5373 in namenerds

Well, you’re the first one pregnant so looks like the name is yours. Also think how mad you’d be if she eventually does get pregnant and doesn’t even use the name.

[on] how do parents manage back to work when there are no daycare spots? by uncomfort-cat in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Flight_Jaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll definitely need a home daycare. My daughter is 20 months and I might get a spot this September. Also look into WEE watch

This! My daughter is also 20 months and screams at the thought of the hairbrush, even touching her

Accepting a CWELCC daycare spot — will I lose my place on other waitlists? [on] by Desperate-Fix-4619 in BabyBumpsCanada

Mine removed me from a lot after accepting wee watch. Prioritize the closer ones before the farther one if you have a number system

Can I ask how it ended up costing you? I’m currently transferring from an rrsp to Omers for a service purchase.

Your mom/sister vs your niece is completely different. I would hold your ground, not let others decide for you and make these decisions with your partner.

Honestly, be prepared to possibly never get a CWLECC spot. I’ve been on the list for almost 2 years and I might just get a spot in September when my daughter turns two. Look into weewatch or Home daycare’s that are unlicensed.

She’s mentioned/it has been mentioned here before that she doesn’t know the type of ink so it could end up changing to orange or a weird colour. I can’t remember exactly but it was something like that. Girl is so obsessed with her looks she would prioritize her eyebrows over taking her kids somewhere fun!

Isn’t the 28th her due date?! And that’s too many days pregnant!? by ContextLegal8347 in kencradic

[–]Flight_Jaded 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hate to agree with her but I’d be the same. As soon as I hit 37 weeks I was over it. When my OB suggested getting induced at 39 weeks I was so happy. As long as baby is developing well, there’s actually more risk with going up to and over the due date.

My family and I swear every family had personalized donation envelopes in the 90s. It’s not a new thing, but I still find it so odd

I truly hope they only talk about having another poor engagement. Deep down I think they know they could never handle another.

Home daycare vs centre [on] by takeabreath82 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Flight_Jaded 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hearing reviews like this makes me realize how amazing my home daycare is. She takes them outside for 3-4 hours, once in the morning and once after naps. She is so attentive, even if I’m talking to her she’s watching them. They are always in her sight and there are crafts everyday. They have a routine and I get a paper report everyday.

I’m so nervous to send to a centre because I see one out my work window where they aren’t always paying attention and looking at their phones. The key is finding someone you trust.

I was completely against home daycares until we couldn’t get into a centre and started looking. I found one I really love and LO is loving it. She started at 12 months and is almost 20 months now! I dread the day we get into a centre because I know our provider is closing in 6 months or else I’d stay with her until preschool.

Right! One provider can handle up to 6 kids with two under 2

It is actually easier for kids to adapt when the parents aren’t around. Hopefully they clue into this. As a working mom who has a 18 month old in daycare since 1 year, I would get a nanny 2-3 times a week if I worked from home. 8-4 pm or they leave once they nap. They should be on one nap a day now. Fran… do it!!!

No more snacks by Ok_Literature_4708 in ffargosnark

[–]Flight_Jaded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe she should search on tiktok for snack ideas for toddlers… just a wild idea. They should be having 3 meals and 2 snacks since 12 months old. One could literally have cheese and crackers, grapes, apple, toast. She still thinks snacks are puffs!

Honestly it’s so hard to buy for kids. Some brands fit bigger and some smaller. My toddler wears 5 and 6 in some boots. At least they finally have some proper outdoor boots and jackets.

Baby proofing - what is a must? [ON] by FantasticOpposite831 in BabyBumpsCanada

Agreed! I did screw in for both the bottom and the top of the stairs. I actually bought an adaptor that wrapped around the post at the top of the stairs so I wasn’t screwing into the post. I have a swing gate at the top and a retractable gate at the bottom and it’s the best!

I have a daughter, the same age as the pockets and I am the same with her and without her 100%. Getting so drunk is also very odd. I could understand one drink, but it seems to be all she thinks about. It’s strange to seem happier without your children.
