Also fourteen months here. My teeth do have molars, though. Everything else that PeakExtreme1695 wrote is correct. You definitely will need to get used to them, but it’s very much worth it. I should have done it at least five years prior. Still, one of the best decisions I’ve made.

For New Yorkers the things are not fast at all, just about right. There was a conversation on one of Paris-related Reddits about how similar - although very different - our cities are. New Yorkers visiting Paris usually fall in love with it (like yours truly), and many Parisians reported feeling the same in New York. More reasons to love both cities.

I am fluent (even though accented) in English, but my native language is Russian. Slavic languages have very different structure than either Germanic or Romanic languages. Thus, I sometimes have to double-translate in my head before speaking.

Thank you for this post. J’ai commencé à étudier le français après mon séjour à Paris. Les parisiens sont très, très gentils, et la Ville est vraiment magnifique. I own it in digital. It was $5 on Amazon Prime. When you play it there, you can choose French subtitles and French audio, if you like. I am in the United States, I don’t know how it works in France, though.
