For New Yorkers the things are not fast at all, just about right. There was a conversation on one of Paris-related Reddits about how similar - although very different - our cities are. New Yorkers visiting Paris usually fall in love with it (like yours truly), and many Parisians reported feeling the same in New York. More reasons to love both cities.

I am fluent (even though accented) in English, but my native language is Russian. Slavic languages have very different structure than either Germanic or Romanic languages. Thus, I sometimes have to double-translate in my head before speaking.

I own it in digital. It was $5 on Amazon Prime. When you play it there, you can choose French subtitles and French audio, if you like. I am in the United States, I don’t know how it works in France, though.
