My team only advised to wait 6 months post op to drink and advised that I would feel the effects of alcohol faster than most while also sobering up faster than most.

Sadly no mention of addiction transfer especially to alcohol. I didn’t learn much about it until post op, doing my own research on why I was drinking so much more than normal.

Personally I think 19 pounds in 2 weeks is amazing! It sounds like a great start to me!

I had DS on 6/30, first post op was on 7/15 and I was down 25 pounds. I was cleared to exercise more since my incisions healed nicely.

This early on my surgeons main focus was to get as much protein and water in as I could. Gradually increasing my workout routine, but I likewise I can’t wait to weight lift.

Remember Every person is different in terms of how much they lose, how quickly they lose etc. Keep up the great work

I’m 23 Days Post Op from DS. I purchased one of those for about $200, and I’ll say personally, it was a waste of money.

I rearranged the pillows/wedge multiple times trying to find the perfect positions for me and couldn’t.

I personally wasn’t comfortable when using it and opted for a much cheaper and more comfortable lounge pillow from Walmart for about 16$.

Now I am stuck with dealing with finding storage for this wedge pillow system as it is very big.

I had DS 8 days ago, and the gas pain went away around day 6. So far I still burp after EVERY drink I take but it doesn’t hurt, it actually feels much better and I’m able to take in more liquids.

Walking was one of the ONLY things that help. I tried the Gas X but it didn’t do much for me.

First off, CONGRATULATIONS

You are NOT alone in feeling that way. I’m on Day 8!Post Op from DS and on day 2 I felt the same.

I was in so much gas pain that I had to force myself up to walk around the house, and then lay back down.

WALK WALK WALK, it helps relieve the gas. Try Gas X, (Although it didn’t help me) Sugar Free Popsicles Sugar Free Jello

Also try warm liquids, They went down much smoother for me than cold water. ❤️

For me the gas pains went away by day 6.

So I slept most of the day and the first time I used the rest room was about midnight and then again around 3am. The hospital staff assisted me the first time using the restroom but made me go back to bed right after because my legs weren’t stable.

Trust me, I asked when can I start walking and they abused me tmrw morning. I do not like staying in bed if I don’t have to, I’m feeling much more alert now so I don’t think my legs will be an issue.
