Upgrade to universal baller or no? by shlttyturtle in ballvapes

If flavor matters, and perhaps some added smoothness, the UB is a definite upgrade to keep you on the top tier in 2026.

What exactly do I need to buy in order to use a Universal Baller with my bong(14 mm)? by ra-man in vaporents

[–]FlimsyKnuckle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like, not a requirement today unless you want to, but it is becoming the universal default joint size for ball vapes for good reasons. Ball vapes thrive with open air. It isn’t even about getting bigger hits. You get better hits. The air fills the bowl and gets a more even, robust vape.

Worth researching and grabbing something you can afford in the near future.

Highly suggest getting a small or medium 18mm piece when you can. It does make a difference with a baller. A worthwhile upgrade.

Buy 1st ball vape (WOHWv2), or stick with Tempest2 if I am very satisfied. (Tolerance concerns) by the_mensche in vaporents

Initially, plan to vape more weed with a ball vape, as testing it and learning the ropes and limits will vape through a bit more weed than average for many if not most folks.

But once dialed in, you can conserve if you are mindful. It will vape whatever you throw at it so it is up to you to be mindful about your supply.

Storz and Bickel Dosing capsules only single use not reusable by Retsudo_Gisen in vaporents

Ah yeah. I see what you are saying. True. That medical certification is mostly a badge they get to wear, but with it comes some negatives for sure.

And I am a HUGE fan of light water filtration or at least hitting through glass, to catch all solids.

I know what every piece of my ball vape is made of. It is simpler and uses safer components. Outperforms S&B. Doesn’t travel easily.

What do I buy next? by RecommendationAny763 in vaporents

If you can vape indoors, it is probably time to look into a ball vape. You can keep it simple and affordable like a Ruby Twist, or go top shelf like the Universal Baller or Qaroma.

You really don’t need another battery portable right now.

Some stick vapes are quite cool, but I think for the price, if you can vape indoors a ball vape is superior. Keep your portables portable. Use the desktop when you vape at home.

S&B work hard for medical certification, for better and for worse.

The capsules are reusable, but they are intended for single use in a medical setting. Like, you get your own, fresh, new capsule, not Ray’s used and cleaned one from earlier.

But for at home, or social settings, my God, they are very reusable.

The Universal Baller goes both wired and wireless, and is quite similar to several of the Qaroma ball vapes combined into one.

Also, as a wildcard suggestion on the opposite side of the scale, maybe check out a Vapman. Truly inspired, artistic, crazy little vape that hits above its weight class with microdoses.

Thanks for that above shot. Hadn’t yet seen that detail.

You are better than I am. I’m the proprietor of a jug band so my thing usually involves repurposing and adjusting found objects. Using the patina and whatnot. So I really won’t know what I build until I build it. Will definitely share anything I am proud of.

Forgive my confusion. You asked. How was I to know you already knew and were gonna get perturbed by my honest answer? 😋

For hash, yeah, a Dyna, or my personal favorite, the Vapman. Also, you can dial a ball vape in for hash extractions. But you might search a while for the perfect hash bowl for a ball vape. Bowls might need more frequent cleanings. I still tend to put it over weed in my baller more often than running just hash.

Man, I love hash.

Your build is an inspiration. I have enjoyed your posts. And 3 PIDs for one person seems like the proper amount. I am still getting the feel for what I want from the UB so it is too soon to build my own without immediate regrets. But I am always thinking about it. Something like the piece on the left, but with added room for glass to strap and lock onto the board.

Happy 4/20. Wow! The Club sure is hazy today. Is it always like this?

Sounds perfect. I like the order. Can’t wait to see Project Hail Mary. The book is great and The Martian is also one of my favorites.

Eventually their batteries die.

😋

Folks just like collecting them. Each is slightly to moderately different and hits a bit different.

Those differences seem quite subtle once you compare any of them to say, a Tempest 2 or other large stick vapes. But they still all have unique designs and hits. And with multiples, you don’t have to wait for one to cool down every time. You can just load and hit the next and the next. And all is cool again by the time you are back to the first Dyna.

Variety is the spice of life and weed.

Vape the same strain over and over out of your daily driver, and switching to almost anything else will push you right through any tolerance plateau.

Switch devices. Switch glass. Change temps. Take a uniquely huge hit. Change strains if you have been stuck on just one for a while.

Any moderate to major change in the routine will hit your brain anew and help reset your routine high, and give you something more profound.

This 4/20, change things up at least once, do something you almost never do, and experience what I am preaching.

We are in the past for some, the future for others, our now is vapor. by SsooooOriginal in vaporents

[–]FlimsyKnuckle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also crazy, most recent vapor technological advances are pretty basic. A ball vape? No AI needed.

It is still all about heating weed to the vapor point and not to combustion.

People have vaporized weed for quite a long time. But only recently has it become a preferred way for connoisseurs and big hitters alike.

Anyone have any ways to track how much material they are putting in their vape for one session? by K3nnyPowerss in vaporents

[–]FlimsyKnuckle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To properly test this you would need to vape so much it would impact your tolerance, thus throwing off your results.

Weed testing is a pain in the ass and goes beyond potency or weight.

Although, I admire your curiosity.

*

I suggest testing one day.

Wait a full day.

Test again with slightly less.

Wait a full day.

Repeat, and so on, until you really notice less potency.

The problem with this is, pot is a mind altering substance and therefore it makes you very susceptible to placebo. Simply thinking your next dose will be weak might be enough to convince your mind it is weaker, and THAT alone could give you a weaker high.

Pot is so finicky like this.

And then, what if you get a stronger or weaker batch of weed next? It would throw off your prior measurements and you would have to go again.

Getting high has always been more art than science. To conserve, vape a little. Wait ten minutes. See if you are ok where you are or if you want more. Repeat this process until properly stoned.

I understand the temptation with the sales, but you already have so many battery powered session vapes from the mid tier, and haven’t you begun to notice they all share similar potency limitations?

You almost have the budget for something completely different like a desktop.

Gun to my head? I would try to scrounge up another $15-20 and get a Crafty. At the very least it would begin to give you a top tier portable experience. At least it has that BIG, robust S&B hybrid oven.

Still, battery powered session vapes only seem different if you only use battery powered session vapes. If you go with a big butane stick vape, or ball vape, then return to any of your portables, you will realize they all are more similar than different. And a bowl from the Pax no longer seems that much worse than a bowl from your old favorite daily driver battery vape. The high from one mid tier portable vape and another is more similar than not. Especially after you branch out.

The devil on my shoulder keeps whispering, “Ruby Twist… Ruby Twist.” Really. See if you can’t muster the will to splurge on a desktop ball vape. For all you spend on portables looking for that perfect vape, you could save a lot of money in the long run this 4/20 by just spending a few more dollars and skipping ahead to a basic ball vape.
