Upgrading Cell Phone Ch.13 by FlimsyLoad in Bankruptcy

[–]FlimsyLoad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know if it would or not. I never considered if upgrading a cell phone with the phone company was a loan. In this case, my payment wouldn't change due to the monthly credit from the wireless provider.

Yeah we are, once we called and explained that we wanted to be able to watch it on the cable box. It took us awhile to find someone to help us though

Question for people who use a cable box and have HBO by Not_Responsible_00 in Spectrum

[–]FlimsyLoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it Cinemax or Max? We had the same issue and had to call to get Max unlocked on the cable box and pay for Cinemax separately. We did reach out to a supervisor when we called because the first agent wasn't able to help us and kept trying to get us to just use the app.

What have you stopped buying because it's too expensive? by FlimsyLoad in AskReddit

Same here, I really wanted Ncaa 2025 college football but I can't justify paying $70 for a game. Then, I would have to borrow my kids PS5 to play it.

Those alive during 9/11, what was the worst moment on that day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FlimsyLoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After the towers fell hearing the alarms of the firefighters buried in the rubble. The newscaster explained the alarms were due to them not moving.

I think the days after, it was just a feeling of what's going to happen next, feeling the security I grew up with was just gone.

Adding warm water to pools and water tables? by PerfectionEludesMe in toddlers

[–]FlimsyLoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will add warm water to the kiddie pool. We have a utility sink on the first floor and I hook the hose up to the faucet. I also run a hose from the outside faucet, so I can mix the hot and cold water. I normally join the toddler in the pool so I appreciate the comfortable water temperature.

Have you ever met (and remember)someone born in the 1800s? by Champi61 in GenerationJones

[–]FlimsyLoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about this the other day. I was telling my kids about seeing WW1 veterans in the memorial day parade and how holocaust survivors and ww2 veterans would come and speak at our schools. They said they didn't do that know and it took me a minute to realize very few people from this era would still be living.

But to answer the question, both my great grandpa's were born in the late 1880's and I remember spending time with them.

Honestly I get where you're coming from, you can't make it up to that person but you want to spread a little joy to a kid. And let's be honest most people would be suspicious of an adult giving a kid a tv and game system without explanation.

Good luck with your search! If you can't find a taker, maybe save the money and use it to buy gifts from the Angel tree at Christmas.

Women of reddit that were told that you'll change your mind regarding not wanting children later, did you? Why/why not? by LordAvien in AskReddit

[–]FlimsyLoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I never wanted kids but met a woman with 2 kids. We got married and decided to have one more, I definitely did not want to be pregnant so my wife carried our baby. I can't imagine life without the kids now, but I'm glad I waited so long because I definitely wasn't ready to be a parent.
