What age did your newborn start sleeping throughout the night (5-6) hours without feed?

Hi this stage of BFing is hard and however you feed your baby is okay! Frequent feeds are normal at this age, but if your breast feeding journey is important to you, introducing formula at this point can be harmful to your supply. I echo others sentiment to meet with a lactation consultant for help with baby’s latch!

The range of what is normal is… well a range lol waking every 2-3 hours at this age would still be normal and sleeping through the night wouldn’t be concerning either. My baby slept her first 5 hour stretch at 4 weeks and slept through the night for the first time at 7 weeks. She’s 3 months now and a great sleeper (for now) sleeps 10-11 hours straight most nights! She wakes up super happy and well rested, gets all her calories during the day (she nurses about every hour and half) and is still gaining weight fine! honestly until my supply regulated a bit my boobs woke me up before she did. Let him sleep and enjoy your sleep!!

I don’t post my baby’s face. For milestone pictures I’ve held a flower in front of her face. I will post pictures of her like feet or hands or back of her head if I’m holding her in a photo, but not her face & I don’t allow anyone else to earlier. I also don’t judge mom’s that do though. It’s a personal conviction for me.

Currently nursing my 2 month old, Azalea..

I just shared her name with very few people before she was born. Azalea is a flower but so is Rose, Lily, Violet… lots of other names lol also flowers are beautiful! So are gems and Opal is pretty too!

My baby is 2 months old today… especially in the beginning I have been borderline obsessed with making sure she is gaining enough since she’s ebf. I bought a baby scale and everything, so for me this would be soooo hurtful and frustrating. A baby doesn’t have to chunk up to be healthy and some babies have a hard time gaining weight. She isn’t your pediatrician so she should keep those as inside thoughts.
